Hi guys, I was talking to an atheist(is that allowed?) and he told me about something called nashk, or abrogation of certain ayahs in the koran. I won’t add what else he had to say, because if you were there you would have thought that a jinn or shaitan had gotten a hold of him. Anyways, I was wondering if someone could show me which verses in the koran are abrogated, if any at all, or just point me towards a book or webiste that explains this. Thanks in advance.![]()
Re: Nashk-I need help
Read the verse of Surah Al-baqarah: ‘Zalekal Kitabo La raiba fee he’. Even after that if somebody still insists on this theory of abrogation then he is seriously mistaken.
Re: Nashk-I need help
Would you please be kind enough to give more detail then that, its very important. Thanks in advance. :D
Re: Nashk-I need help
When Holy Quran itself is saying that ‘This is the perfect Book and there is no doubit in it’, then the theory of Abrogation should never arise.
And In Surah AL-Hijr, Allah says:
When Allah himself says that He would be the guardian of this Book, then who would dare to abrogate any portion of the Holy Quran.
I believe that this ‘Theory of Abrogation’ is a very evil concept and shouldn’t be entertained at all.
