I ran out of my MUF foundation so I went to sephora to try NARs to see if I would prefer that over MUF (which i loved). I ended up getting NARS’ sheer glow in Santa Fe (i think). I want to ask you ladies which one do you prefer and why? I felt that MUF didn’t stay put all day. I see my pictures when my foundation is all fresh and then my pics at the end of the day and I can clearly see there is almost no foundation on my face by the end of the day.
The two are very comparable price wise too. Should I stick with MUF or is Nars a better option??
Nars sheer glow, tried it at sephora, and they have very true to skin shades and it looked really glowing and healthy on the skin. I tried makeup forever as well and it was good too. But the way Nars made my skin glowy was off the hook. As of staying put for long, cant say much, I tried both at sephora lol
I love Nars sheer glow! I am using it since the last 2 years and still my favorite. Tried MUF foundation at sephora's and also got a tester that I have used for few days. Didn't like it much as I felt the coverage heavy. Personally I like glowy, sheer coverage and Nars sheer glow foundation serves the purpose. I also have Bobby Brown's luminous moisturing foundaion and Lancome's Teint Miracle and I like them both as they both give soft healthy glow.
I went into Sephora today thinking I would get MUFE HD, but once I tried it on half my face, I didn't like it all! The salesperson suggested I try Nars Sheer Glow in Stromboli, and not only was the shade perfect, but it went on like a dream!!! I loved it! Didn't like the fact that I had to buy the pump seperately, but it's okay, it was worth the splurge!
I love NARS's sheer glow foundation! And also the orgasm blush! Its the only foundation which doesnt dry my skin out or give me
Pimples (MAC was amazing and then affer a few months my skin would dry out and i would get one or two annoying spots.. I hate spots!! And rarely get them) since switching no problemo.! Im guna use their skin care stuff to start my beauty regime before the wedding i.A woo hoo
I have both NARS Sheer Glow in Barcelona and MUFE HD (153).
MUFE HD is heavier than NARS, and had a more matte finish.....Sheer Glow has a more dewy finish.
I use Sheer Glow if I'm wearing make-up during the day or at casual events. But during formal events where tons of pics are taken (ie. weddings), I use MUFE HD.
I'd say get samples of both and try them out a few times if you're planning on purchasing 1.
** For lasting power, a primer is a must. I use Make-up Artists Choice matte anti-shine (online retailer) but there are several others that're also good such as MAC Prep&Prime SPF 50. NARS Photofinish is also good if your skin can tolerate silicones. If your issue is lasting power of MUFE HD, then I'd say your primer might be the culprit.
