Napster - Rebooted

So Napster is gonna be back. With 500,000 songs and each single for about 76 cents. Not a bad business model, if you ask me. Got me thinking, how many of you will be willing to sacrifice 70-80 cents per song, instead of ripping them from some Kazaa for free?

As for me, as long as they allow me to stream them for free so I can listen and make up my mind before buying and downloading, and these guys don’t put unreal restrictions, like you can only burn it in 1 CD, or you can not copy it more than twice etc… I’d be willing to pay 70-99 cents per song. I am talking about both English and Urdu songs. I also need to know that a fraction of what I am paying for that song, is actually gonna end up with the musician.

What do you guys say?

ps. By the way, if you check out www.napster.com, they have some pretty cool animation right now to show how Napster get out of Jail, out of life-support and has got a killer of a deal from music executives.

^ The animations alone might make me pay.
