guppies who r in Ny plz do go to NANKING resturant in newhyde park on hillside ave..that resturant is WOW…food is excellent ,atmosphere is superb..A1 resturant..i gave that resturant 5 stars..and food i s 100 % halal,

New HYde park is Long Island? Is this a chain restaurant? I went to a Nanking by Edison, NJ and the food was ok, not that great. Also the waiters annoyed us by constantly hovering over us. Then he tricked us into buying this drink called Nanking Delite..it was yukky. He told us its so exotic and exquisite and blah blah blah.....it tasted like a banana milkshake with a teaspoonful of Nesquik! Im glad the other one is good.

PS. Since you are in NY, go to Tangra Restaurant, its halal chinese (indian flare)...but fairly priced and fairly yummy.

i have been there twice with my friend we ordered the chicken rice and noodles and the chilli paneer and they were delicious. it was great. the restrooms were a little spooky because they were soooo dark. but the food was great.

Shahnawaz is overrated. Me and hubby went their for iftari and they had a buffet on the Oak tree Road one. They didn't bother refilling the appetizers when they were gone! Most people didn't get ANY appetizers...jeez.

OK so im going out to iftaar/dinner with friends to the Nanking in Jersey City tonight. I will let anyone interested know if it even tastes good. I am SOOOO hungry, and sitting here patiently at work waiting for my friends to arrive...arghhhhh... I might just go down and eat by myself!

:( Maybe I should go to the one in NY! It was decent, but not that amazing. And it seems like the portions shrunk in JC. We ordered Chicken Satay Appetizer and it was 4 tiny pieces that were totallly blandd and peanut sauce wasn't good either. Well it was an appetizer only so that's fine. But overall it was so-so, the food. I prefer Siam Village Holy Basil Noodles any day!
Anyone know of any other halal Thai restaurant?
