What’s so special about knowing a girl’s name? I’ve noticed that guys tend to be very curious to find out. My question is why?

So that they can get to know her? I think it's weird that it's considered weird to know someone's name.

It's not weird but it's annoying when you get millions of PMs from random multis asking the same thing

Oh I saw that after my post . Next time let us know you are talking about real life or virtual life.
In real life it can be very romatic if a boy asks a girl’s name but in virtual life it is surely an annoying thing.

. If they do not know a girls name the rishta can end up at wrong home. For example a girls name is Nadia but the rishta goes to Sadia’s home. That will be a costly mistake if that poor guy finds out after the shadi.

Two arguments...

1- Following the systematic approach of getting introduced to someone. One of the first few things would be knowing their name, as it helps you to *connect * to someone on a personal level.

2- [Gender Neutral Rgument] The most efficient way of recalling someone is through their name, as it leaves little room for ambiguity. Trust me, you wouldn't want somebody to recall you as "moti naak wali fatso jo har test mein fail hoti thi... haan wohi jiski naak behti rehti thi" blah blah..

As a side note, I don't think it's a bad idea to get to know someone.. :)
