It could very well be. Regular Urdu now just calls it mohni.

From my limited knowledge (without Google assistance) Mohni and Mohini are both same - seductress. As pointed out above it is a celestial being - not sure a goddess.

Them Northies swallow the vowel every once in a while. So Mohini becomes Mohni. Referring to same person.

I hear Veenaji is a Mohni.
