Report says that other contenders were Jude Law, Ewan Mcgregor and Hugh Jackman. Hugh Jackman would have been even better a choice.
I agree, Hugh Jackman has those chiseled good looks which Bond men seen to be famous for. Plus, I can see him doing the role of a ‘player’ better than Bana. Bana looks like a softie.

Hugh Jackman is doing musicals these days. I found that kind of gay after all his tough guy action roles in X-men, swordfish and van helsing. I would have never guessed he would have a penchant for flashy clothes and a fondness for swinging to orchrestra music. GAY !

Eric Bana is cool and he played one of my fav. character "The Hulk".
He seems kinda young to be playing Mista Bond though.
