Re: Name your favourite stores for Home Interiors!

T J Hughes is shut??? I didn't know..Yes T K Maxx is good but you are stuck with a limited stock sometimes. If you want something specific, you can't always rely on it. It does have some nice designer stuff though.

Does anyone know the store called Dunelm? Its good!

Re: Name your favourite stores for Home Interiors!

My favourite stores are:

John Lewis
TK Maxx (but you need to find one that has a good buyer for the homeware section, as each is different)
Wilkinsons
Debenhams
Matalan
Ikea
Homebase

Those are the main ones I go to fairly regularly, I'm sure there are others.

Re: Name your favourite stores for Home Interiors!

Great idea. I have done a few things myself also, I will take pictures and share soon…great thinking Batman!

Re: Name your favourite stores for Home Interiors!

Interesting point Tigerlily! You think TK Maxx has seperate buyers for each store?? hmm that could explain the huge difference in quality of every branch...

Re: Name your favourite stores for Home Interiors!

I have it on good authority they have a different buyer for each store/geographic area for the fashion sections. So I assumed they have a different buyer for the homeware too. It makes sense, as you say the quality varies vastly from store to store.

Re: Name your favourite stores for Home Interiors!

Homesense is actually pretty good esp for the competitive prices the stuff comes with. I like next home too and M&S as well as well however I think it's a bit expensive.

IKEA would remain top of the list though. But not shopping much these days as our apartment is small and dont want to get it too crowded or anything. Can't wait to move to a bigger one by the end of this year IA.

For Pakistan the best interior decor shops would include Chen One and the Liberty Plaza where they have a large number of shops selling decor stuff. Oh and a slight expensive but awesome collection is present at Sabeel (on Zahoor Elahi Road)

Re: Name your favourite stores for Home Interiors!

And John Lewis is way too expensive ! :bummer:

Re: Name your favourite stores for Home Interiors!

Enigmatic, where is the best place for handicrafts in Lahore?

Re: Name your favourite stores for Home Interiors!

  • Pier 1 Imports
  • bombay
  • iKea (added incentive of fishn c chips and wonderful garlic bread :yummy: )

Re: Name your favourite stores for Home Interiors!

for me, it’s the classy ‘DOLLAR’ store!!! :rotfl:

Re: Name your favourite stores for Home Interiors!

of course then there is Dollarama - wonderful place …that keep us and kids busy for hours
