Name this film/song

Hey peeps,

Two Questions,

  1. Who sung this song. Not actually sure what the title of the song was, but the words go somthing like this ‘and the musioc don’t feel like it did when i felt it with you …’ and i don’t know the rest. It’s a really popular song from the 80s and was remixed in 96/97 by a kali dance artist (don’t remember her name either - I’m useless!).

  2. There was a hindi film in the late 70s/early 80s which starred Amitabh Bachan and Amitabh Bachan (how shocking !!!). Anyway, at the start of the film Amitabh turns up to some christian girls (played by either Rathi or Rakhee) wedding and asks to marry her. The girls father says no cuz he’s not educated or sommat ( i think) but she elopes with him anyway. They get married and have a son, but then she gets killed (and reped?) by some chor (baddies). Amitabh then gives his son up for adoption to the police commissioner and goes away to train to become a big Don and take revenge (as you do). His son grows up to become another Amitabh (surprise surprise) - but this one’s a police officer. the whole story revolves around Amitabh junior catching Amitabh senior before he kills the chor (baddies). I’ve probably added buts that don’t actually happen, and taken away bits that do, but i was only about 6 when i saw the film, and my memory isn’t what it used to be :frowning:

It was a pretty fantastic film, and i’d love to see it again (but I’d feel embaressed going up to the shop guy and raeding out the above story!)

So if anyone could give me the answer to the above two questions, I’d appreciate it.

Thanx

does it really happen?

try a google search and look for amitabh movies.

PS. plz don't use this ----> :) it doesn't suit you.

What’s with the bitchiness of late Khan baba? it doesn’t suit you. Scottich people are my favourite people in the whole wide world. i’D never be nasty to you … !!!

As for the  , it’s so me !!! although I am rather fond of :disgust:

Oh, and if i had time to go through the millions of films my Amitabh, i wouldn’t have asked the question on here, would i?

maybe it was Don

actually if u go to this link Amitabh Bachchan Filmography ..it will give u a list of all of his movies from 1961 to 2001…it will also tell u which movies he played a double role

The answer to your second question Sadi Sobi is :

** AAKHRI RAASHTA**

I am not particularly a BIG B fan but this movie was indeed one of his better ones....

By the way it was neither "Rathi or Rakhi" who was senior Amitabh's wife in the film but JAYA PRADA and there are some more factual mistakes in your story... but I am just too bored now to elaborate.... you will find out when you see the movie again...

Thanx Sheraz, What, no cheeky comments? Since when have you started being so nice? I like the nice side of you!

Thanx 4 ur help some1 (great nick by the way …). I’m gonna buy it right now just to see exactly how many ‘factual mistakes’ i did make. I was only 6 when i saw it for petes sake

sadi are u sure u are talking about me? i am not sure when i was rude

anyways i was gona say akhri raasta too but it came on 86, and u said it was in late 70s or early 80s..and sri devi is in it

i also liked mard..watch it if u havnt already

OK, I need help with another one now .... i saw this one (hindi film) in about 86 or 87. It start Rajnikant (that south Indian actor with muchein, who does that wicked trick with his cigrettes). At the start of the film he's a real sidha sadha dorky type of guy but then his sister gets raped (i think - again!) and murdered by these chor (baddies) so he goes onto train (think he learns boxing or sommat) and takes revenge. I've just realised how similar this film sounds to Aakhri Rasta - must be sommat with me about women getting raped/murdered and their sadhe brothers/husbands becoming Gs.

Anyway, I'm sure you guys won't dissapoint me. oh and i still want to know he sung that song (see 1st post)

Sheraz, seen Mard. Yeh it was pretty damn fab, but then again i do like most of Bachans old stuff. Weren't you the guy who i used to bitch with (but then again,. that's most people ...) - u used to be quite tight with rhubarb or rubicon or something. I've probably got a completely different guy - sorry!

Oh and Khan Baba, for you .... :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

I’m gonna keep this thread at the top till i get my answers … Anyone? Please? I thought u pakis were meant to be good at these Indian films

I'm not gonna let this thread die :stern look:

Go do your research people or I'm gonna annoy the hell out of all of you by keeping this on top forever and forever and ever :)

don't stop,
never give up,
hold ur head high and reach the top.

Come on now peeps, you've had long enough. Give me the answers

Tear Drops - Elton John

Duet with K. D. Lang
Written by Zekkariyas and Zeriiya Zekkariyas
Available on the album Duets

Whenever I hear good-bye
Reminds me, baby, of you
I break down and cry
The next time I'll be true, yeah

Fever for lost romance
Reminds me, baby, of you
I took a crazy chance
The next time I'll be true, I'll be true

Footsteps on the dance floor
Remind me, baby, of you
Teardrops in my eyes
Next time I'll be true, yeah

Whispers in the back room
She cries on every tune, every tune

And the music don't feel like it did
When I felt it with you

Nothing that I do or feel ever feels
Like I felt it with you

When I'm dancing round
Reminds me, baby, of you
I won't let you down
The next time I'll be true, I'll be true

sigh..happy now? :)

Wow, cheers Maddy you done me proud :) In all honesty, I should have guessed it'd be by Elton John. He just has the best music.

Now hurry up and find the title of the Rajnikunt movie - there's a good girl now :)

Sadi... I think your RajniKant movie is ANDHA QANOON.... it starred Amitabh too.... rajnikant's sister did get raped in the movie but I am not so sure about the boxing part....
I suggest you watch this another movie of Rajnikant... CHALBAAZ... it has Sridevi and Sunny Deol also... even though I find Rajnikant somewhat repulsive due to his acting (or overacting), I did like CHALBAAZ.

Ur quite good at this, aren't you? I've a right mind to employ you as my personal film title teller type person when I marry my millionaire husband.

Is there a scene in the film where RajniKant boxes while he's training to become a hardman? If not, then I've absolutely no idea where that boxing malarkey came from :) Rajnikant is ace. I don't think he overacts at all - I love all his stuff, especially all his South Indian films.

Sadi :teary1: Sobi :crying:
Some taste you have… Contrary to what you think I am not into Hindi Movies at all - almost of them are based on the same blahdy “crap” that is passed as a “storyline” which ofcourse has been told a zillion times already… I absolutely hate them… its just that your questions pertain to movies of the time when I was at school and was stupid and dumb to waste time in watching Hindi Movies… If there was any “Delete” button in the brain, I would most certainly use it to cleanse my system of these movies…

Go watch “No man’s land” (I watched it last week). Very well made movie. You will have to live with the subtitles though unless you know “Serbian”.

I see where you're coming from and normally I'd actually agree with you, but for some strange reason I've been really craving Hindi films lately and all the new ones are blahdy rubbish so I'm just replaying the ones i enjoyed as a kid.

Not seen No Mans Land - I'll see if i can get it out over the weekend. Are you into foreign films? Do you watch French stuff?
