THAT IS SUCH TRUTH.
I remember 90’s very well when the love and respect extremism was deep in Pak society, if you didn’t respect extremists and donated to local madrissas you were considered a bad muslim.
So many times I remember people religious looking people walking into cricket grounds and shame some of players to come to join them in effort to go door to door to invite their own family members to come to mosques and to their lectures after the mosques. It was not super un common to hear about certain team members or a kid we used to see on cricket field to disappear and weeks later it was heard that he went to get some Jihad training in the camps. Such rumors were almost always heard with admiration by majority of people.
