Name a batsman

Is there a single batsman in any of the Asian teams right now capable of hitting quality seamers on bouncy pitches?

Dravid? Inzamam? Jayasuriya? Anyone? Judging from the recent performances of Asian teams, I really doubt it.

Absolutely none.

The one and only : SACHIN TENDULKAR

Umm, I didn't ask for chokers. I asked for a consistent, gutsy batsman.

Dude,

I said my comment isn't based on statistics.

No need to be ashamed of what I said.

By and large the 2 leading Asian players of pace are SRT and Inzi, but the best player in the world of fast bowling is the one and only Brian Charles Lara, his record against Australia is awesome, his average is 49-but it includes great knocks day in-day out. 277,213,153*,181, 101 (77 balls) and more!

The greatest batsmen since Richards.

Azhr Mahmood

Only one batsman from the subcontinent dominated South African bowlers on the bouncy tracks of South Africa and that was Azhar Mahmood. Sachin and Elahi got a few good scores on S.A wickets but they were on the docile tracks of South Africa.

Saeed Anwar, Yousuf Youhanna and Inzi simply do not have the technique to play bounce. They can be best described as flat track bullies.

:hehe:

sachin can pull the bounce ball like anything...
hez very good in it....
you give him a short ball and boy that will
race to the boundary.... and in to the
crowd as well....

I do not think any batsman in the world has ever been comfortable againt true pace bowlers on a fast track.
SRT, Inzamam Ul haq, Youhana, De Silva,Attaputtu and Jaywerdane.

I think they guys can, and do handle pace pretty well. I am only considering the Asians here.

I am talking about NOW, not the past. Show us what SRT has done on bouncy pitches this year, not 2 years ago. (And please don’t tell us that those England wickets were bouncy or that England has a quality bowling attack.) :hehe:

Explain what you mean by NOW?
Right now Probaby Sachin is having breakfast in NZL and Inzimam is sleeping in SA.

Nov. 2001 vs SA Avg. 64.33
April - 2002 Vs West Indies Avg. 41.37

Sep-Oct 2002 Vs. England 66.83

Dec - 2002 - Vs NZ 25.00

Now Dont tell me that Pitches in WI/SA were also flat and especially laid for SRT so that he could score some runs.

And for his info Average of 25 in NZL was 3rd best.

So for you NOW means this year. great !!! :rotfl:

Yes, that brilliant, fearsome England bowling attack. :rotfl:
And Michael Holding and Malcolm Marshall from WI attack (oops, they are retired and the current attack is pathetic). :rotfl:

As for NZ, 25? :rotfl:

Excuses and more excuses - You wont count England, You wont Count WI. In last one year Sachin Hasn't played against Australia in Australia or Pakistan in Pak. So That leaves us with SA in SA and there he scored 155,1,15, 22 not out.

I know you will jump about the figures of NZ - There also he is one of the only 3 batsmen to score 100 or more.

Guess How many Centuries Yohana and Inzi have ascore against SA & Aus in away test matches. multiply that by 6 and that's Sachin's figure
