Out of curiosity, is it allowed to pray Namaz in English, or any other language?
The answer is NO. One has to learn Arabic...atleast so he or she can recite the verses and prayers for salaat.
Can someone post the complete translation of Salat here, if possible? Thanks.
The verses and prayers normaly associated with Namaz have to be offered in Arabic (i.e. reading of Surah-e-Faateha or the prayer between two sajjadahs etc.). In addition to these you can also pray for yourself or for your family during Namaz. These prayers can be offered in your own language.

Here is another one. You have Salaat in Roman Arabic and its English Translation.
hey,
so where does it say that it must be read in arabic?

Because a huge part of salaat is reciting the QURAN ... and NO TRANSLATION can come close to the original arabic meaning.
Subhanallah Talha....very good point.
PCGuriya, I am trying to find a reference for it. I will get back to you on that soon.

You can read the translation for benefit,, however if you recite it in salah in any other language ,, then because no translation can equal the Quran ,, you will not be reciting the words of Allah but just an interpretation of those words
