I think Allah is going to ask where your heart was during Namaz rather than where your hands were. I think as long as your heart and mind was truly submissive to God during namaz, minor issues with your bodily posture would not matter.

I agree that Allah may not be that specific about the posture. My point is that once we know what is the correct posture, not following it would be a direct disobedience, which would be the indication that your heart was not in submission to begin with. So knowingly violating the posture protocol will be subjected to questioning.

There is a type of namaz that a hadees says ‘will be slapped back to you face’. A lot of that has to do with how you perform that namaz and not just with the intention.
