Anyone know a tried & tested recipe for it ?
Re: Nalli Nihari
1 Kg meat in large pieces
Half kg bones
Sunaf powder 4 tablespoon
Chilli powder 2 tablespoon
Zeera powder 1 tablespoon
Yogurt 250 grams
Onion 2 large. Thinly slice them.
Ginger garlic 2 tablspoon heap
Fry the onion and separate them.
Put the ginger garlic paste, stir fry quickly and then add meat and bones. When meat turns white and steam comes out it, add the masalas and fry them for 10 minutes. Then add enough water to cover the meat and bones. Bring to boil and then simmer for 4 hours.
When meat is tender, blend fried onion with yogurt and mix it the the curry and add 6 tablespoon of flour (mixed with water) gradually and again simmer for 10 minutes.
Garnish with large dark green chillies, corriander, and sliced ginger plus lemon.
Re: Nalli Nihari
I use shaan nihari masala but change the recipe a bit.
Re: Nalli Nihari
^ I've used your recipe on a couple of occasions... :@: I just wanted to see how the cooking process differs when you add bone marrow into the mix.....i guess, using your recipe, i would add it at the same time you add the meat, right?
Thanks for the recipe Mostar!!! :D
Re: Nalli Nihari

If i perfect the dish, i’m inviting Xeno over for dinner ![]()
Wait, does nalli nihari include the bones with the marrow intact, or just the marrow on its own? ![]()
