Jinx - that was insightful, I must admit. So far what I have read and understood is that the scanners are an effective security measure. Well, considering the fact that these scanners are being installed at pretty much all international airports now, I don't see much choice there. Further, personally I would much rather go through a scanner and save me the fuss of pat downs and 'random' detailed searches. And to be honest, I myself feel safer getting on a plane knowing that all passengers have been thoroughly scanned and searched.

Diwana - If you touch my junk I will have you arrested.

**Scientists in the US have suggested that full-body, graphic-image X-ray scanners could cause forms of cancer.

The machines that are being used to screen passengers at airports in some parts of the world have been deemed unsafe by scientists at Johns Hopkins University school of medicine.

AFP has reported that even though the scientists believe the risk is slight, they believe statistically someone will get skin cancer from the X-rays.

Americans are so enamored of equality that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom.
