I’m in the US on a student visa. Which ID card do I need; CNIC or NICOP?
More importantly how do I get one?

Re: NIC, NICOP, Pakistan Origin Card… Help!
NICOP.
Type NICOP in any of the search engine, print out the application, follow the instructions and remember to send the documents as an Express mail. Regular mail takes about 2-3 weeks. Make sure to send the pre-paid envelope, otherwise you will never heard from them.
…and remember one more thing, it’s all paper work at Pakistani Embassy. They don’t have any info available right up front. They won’t be able to tell you one single thing unless you’ve record of your documents sent date. Remember, the date you send the documents. Probably, will ask for you zip code to check the status of your application.
Good luck.

Re: NADRA Cards
Thanks for the LINK
At the above NADRA Link under eligibility (2d) it says
*2. Notwithstanding anything contained explained above, a citizen shall not be deemed to be a non-resident citizen under following conditions if: *
*(d) he is proceeding on student visa or for medical treatment provided that he fill and submit a form which shall be provided by the authority free of cost; *
NOTE: No card will be issued to the categories specified in (d) and (e) above.
So according to them (since I’m on a student Visa) I will not be issued any card.
Now can anyone tell me how will I renew my Passport as I’m not eligible for NICOP and I can’t get CNIC outside of Pakistan.
I’m really ![]()

Try contacting your local Pakistani consulate to begin with.
