Nacho Libre

Nachoooooooooooooooooooooooo

:omg:

This is the funniest film I have seen in a long time. The funniest flick I have seen since The Wedding Crashers.

Definitely watch it!

:rotfl:

Re: Nacho Libre

can't wait to see it :)

Re: Nacho Libre

hahaha! I was going to open a thread about this movie. Most probably will watch it tonight or tomorrow.

Re: Nacho Libre

It was alright, you cant help but wonder when uncle rico would come and save the movie!

The director sure as hell chose the ugliest mehicans for the movie! jack black was very entertaining with that accent of his lol

reminds me of the time i was into luche libre, those hurricanas and wrestlers flying across the ring! Good stuff!

Re: Nacho Libre

I love JB. hes too funny.......movie was just amazing

Re: Nacho Libre

it doesnt look that funny to me

Re: Nacho Libre

^^ sara its kind of like those movies which are funny cause there so stupid, kind of like Napolean Dynamite.

Re: Nacho Libre

Oh god dont get me started on Napoleon..
I dont fidn anything funny or nice abut that movie, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Re: Nacho Libre

ya i know, my sister made me watch it. although i get why some people might find it funny, personaly i didn't see the appeal.

Re: Nacho Libre

I love Napolean Dynamite...can watch it over and over and over...

Re: Nacho Libre

I haven't seen Napolean dynamite and probably won't watch it either since nothing about it seems funny to me.
The previews for Nacho Libre were stupid and not funny.
I think it is for people who found ND funny.

Re: Nacho Libre

Nacho Libre..

hmm. I went in with high expectations since it's directed by the same guy as Napolean Dynamite ( and believe me you Napolean dynamite is funny as hell). But it was disppointing. The only thing that made me not doze off was Jack Black. His dialogue delivery and quirks made it bearable.

The side-kick was funny with his " I don't believe in god, I believe in science" bit. Towards the end the eagle's flight was funny too. Rest of the funny moments they already had shown in the previews.

Disappointing.

Re: Nacho Libre

ewww sick butt-clenching scene. im not going to watch this. yucky.

Re: Nacho Libre

hahaha, that was one of the funniest scenes. He was just trying to seduce his “sister” in religion. :cb:

I hated Napoleon Dynamite. I watched that on the weekend … was absolutely terrible.

Re: Nacho Libre

Nacho libre and Napolean Dynamite are polarizing movies. Either people really hate um or they just totally love um. Anyway i will be watching Nacho libre tonite.

Re: Nacho Libre

I am getting mixed reviews from you guys..might just wait for the video :snooty:

Re: Nacho Libre

I saw Nacho Libre over the weekend, and it was a movie I could recommend without hesitation to anyone. It's a feel-good, funny, clean movie. I thought it was much better than Napolean Dynamite. :)

Re: Nacho Libre

Napolean is a cult classic. It's not your usual loud, over the top comedy starring steve martin or Will Farrell. Napolean is a developed taste. - sorry I know this is side-tracking the thread, but I love the movie, have to stand up for it. :D

Re: Nacho Libre

Watched it yesterday. Wouldn't recommend it for theaters, so you can save your ten bucks. The movie is largely a miss in terms of gripping story-line, and is salvaged only by Jack Black's immitation of Mexican accent and dialogue delivery. There is nothing in the movie that compels you to watch it on the big screen. You can easily drop it from your theater-viewing list, and downgrade to DVD-only (and preferably free at a friend's place) list and be happy.

The only thing fresh about the movie is the role of nun played by Spanish actress Ana de la Reguera (Google her). She looks a lot like Penelope Cruz, and if someone digs Spanish/Mexican actresses like Penelope, Selma, Paz Vega etc, then this movie becomes slightly more bearable.
