Though you cant really expect proper justice from this Dogar puppet, but this just shows how important it is to have a ‘fully’ independent Supreme Court. Also, its shameful how ex-army officials were thinking they can get away with anything, even extorting and beating up civilians!
ISLAMABAD - Two senior officers of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) under the directives of Supreme Court (SC) have been arrested and sent to jail on contempt of court charges.
The Apex Court’s bench ordered the arrest of Colonel (Retd) Tariq Bhatti (Monitoring Wing) and Muhammad Aslam (Investigation Crime Wing) for detaining and beating an employee of Haris Steel Mills.
The bench comprising Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar, Justice Muhammad Qaim Jan Khan and Justice Ch. Ejaz Yousaf heard the case suo motu.
The Chief Justice had taken notice of the incident that occurred Thursday after the hearing of a case of Haris Steel Mills and on an application given by counsels Syed Sharifuddin Pirzada, Waseem Sajjad and Dr.Babar Awan.
The three counsels also appeared before the court in the case of Haris Steel Mills which was adjourned for August 6.
The bench adjourned further proceedings regarding the two arrested officials till August 6 with a direction to NAB not to harass the accused.
Tariq Bhatti and Muhammad Aslam along with some NAB employees carrying guns were alleged to have manhandled Muhammad Irfan, an employee of Haris Steel Mills and dragged him from the bar room to the parking area of the Supreme Court.
**The Chief Justice directed Attorney General Malik Muhammad Qayyum and Prosecutor General NAB Danishwar Malik along with Chairman NAB Naveed Ahsan and the two officials who violated the order of the court, to appear before the court during the proceedings of the suo motu notice. **
At the start of the court proceedings the bench directed the DSP present in the courtroom to arrest both the officials and send them to jail for violating orders of the Supreme Court and beating a person in the court premises.
On the direction of the court Muhammad Irfan was produced before the court. The bench released the detainee and directed the NAB not to harass him. After their arrest the two NAB officials were sent to Police Station Secretariat in a police van.
NAB was created just to harass politicians and civil servants. It has lost its credibility when Pakistan declared one of the most corrupt countries by Transparency International in 2007 and NRO of Mush. There is absolutely no justification of this corrupt organization, should be closed to save millions.

NAB is a good institution, it should remain intact, however it should be free of govt interference just like police and judiciary needs to be free. By putting army-men in there NAB was being converted into 'army-like' mafia who are untouchables by anyone other than army itself.
Prove it. I have already proved it is a liability for the people and the government. Already there exist a anti-corruption estabilishment, police, FIA etc. Instead of spending more money on this white elephant, money should go to constitutionally estabilished institutions to strengthen and improvement in the performance. Pakistan doesn't need parallel organizations estabilished through ordinances.

Above report shows that there were 131 countries perceived less corrupt than Pakistan. 5 perceived to have similar level of corruption as Pakistan with CPI score (2.4). 44 countries are perceived to be more corrupt than Pakistan with lower CPI score.
There is contrast difference from time of Nawaz and BB when Pakistan use to be amongst top 5 most corrupt countries in the world, occasionally taking number one or number two position.
Read my post. I said it was one of the most corrupt country according to TI. What are you talking about? Are you justifying illegal president?
It is high time you say something about most corrupt, killer, rapist, butta khor AH, otherwise your arugments have zero value, no one is going to believe you because you are biased to one and only one ethnic party leader.
Isn't Pakistan is one of the most corrupt country in 2007 according to TI, is a glaring proof of the failure of organization?
Nope, NAB has very little to do in that. NAB is not going to go after every little crook on the street, rather that is the responsbility of law enforcement and judiciary at that level.
