Naats and shirk

Have u ever noticed that sometimes nasheeds we listen usually have some wordings wrong in them. And Naoozbillah if we say those words by mistake then it is form of shirk.I am so angry right now someone send me a naat "Jashn e amaad e rasool ALLAH hi ALLAH " I was listening and when it was ending it said " Hazoor ka saya tak naa paya gaya " What does this mean he was not human. And I really used to like one naat until I discovered its meanings it was "na kaleem kaa tasawur naa kayal e toor e seena " and in the middle it said "mein ne kaha al madad MOHAMMAD to ubhar gaya safeena " we should be calling ALLAH instead of Mohammad.
What are your views on nasheed do u still wana listen those kind of nasheeds or not

Re: Naats and shirk

its a very intricate topic. and i find shirk in many so i change their meaning according to what i think is right.

btw, uz api can u post "Jashn e amaad e rasool ALLAH hi ALLAH " naat here?

Re: Naats and shirk

You have to be very careful what you listen to UZ. As you correctly pointed out, many naats have biddat in them. And we do get carried away with the nice melodies most often not paying attention to the words.

Zobia here is the child singing it. Nikki yes we sometimes sing it but don’t realise it.

Re: Naats and shirk

lol. UZ api we have sects for a reason. dont u know about "hari-topi, or biti, or Beralivi". no pun is intended, but if some beralivi is still offended then my dearest applogies. but we all should see our actions instead of blindly following our parents faiths.

Re: Naats and shirk

There's a lot of things we learn along the way, as we grow, and realize that what we were doing were perhaps just traditions and not true religion.

I listened this nasheed on mp3 before but today I saw it on youtube and I was like oh no one more barelvi nasheed :smack: But I have little knowledge about hari pagri

Re: Naats and shirk

this all is topi drama...paisay batornay k tareekay, nothing else.

ofcourse when we dont recite and understand the Quran with honest intentions, then this pain (of doing wrong deeds) will exceeds its limits.

Surah Baqarah
8. And of mankind, there are some (hypocrites) who say: "We believe in Allah and the Last Day" while in fact they believe not.

  1. They (think to) deceive Allah and those who believe, while they only deceive themselves, and perceive (it) not!

  2. In their hearts is a disease (of doubt and hypocrisy) and Allah has increased their disease. A painful torment is theirs because they used to tell lies.

Re: Naats and shirk

there r some sects of muslims(!?!?!) who actually belive that prophet muhammad (saw) was not human but instead noor, and not just noor, a part of noor-e-ilahi....

and lots of naats have such type of shirk or ghulo....

e.g.
woh jo mustawa-e-arsh tha khuda ho kar
utar aaya madeenay main mustafa ho kar

i forgot to add... if u try to tell them that Quran clearly mentions that muhammad (saw) was a human just like any other human being, they will label u kaafir....

Re: Naats and shirk

KHUCH NAATS KO KHE SAKTEY HAIN PER NAAT KAHWANI BURI CHEZ NAI HAY NATIN TU ASHIQ-E- RASOOL KAY SIR KA TAJ HUTI HAIN AUR SARKAR KI MUHABBAT KO DIL MAIN ZINDA KARTI HAIN.
JAISA KAY MISS ZOBIA NAY KAHA YEH SUB TOPI DRAMA HAY AISI KOI BAAT NAI TOPI DARAMA SUB NAI KARTEY ALHE SUNAT AIK BHUT BARI JAMAT HAY SUNIUN KI AUR MUHAMMAD(PBUH)ALLAH K BANDAY HAIN HUM UNHEY SIRF NOOR NAHI BALKEY NOOR AL BASHAR KHETAY HAIN AUR WAQI UN KA SAYIA NAI THA.ITS TRUE

Re: Naats and shirk

It’s not shirk.

Tawassul through the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) and awliya

Not having a shadow means that there was always a cloud over him(saw) for shade.

“Muhammad is a human being, but not like humankind;
He is a ruby, while people are as stones”. Imam Busayri

Who are we to judge? :)

Re: Naats and shirk

alot of 'nasheeds' and 'naats' have shirk in these days..If its not about Madadd from Muhammed (PBUH)..its about Madadd from Hussain RA or worse yet from awliya's who (bless their souls) are helpless themselves in the graves.. All this peer, faqeer culture and worship of pious people has come from hindus...

Just be careful what you listen to and enjoy the Halaal ones:D

Naat is not always bad, the Companions (Radhi Allaahu Anhum) would compose and recite poetry in praise of our Prophet :saw2:.

After Allaah (The Exalted & Majestic) he who does not love the Prophet :saw2: more than anyone and anything (including himself, his parents and his children) is not a true Believer.

The Prophet :saw2: was a human but he was the best of humans, and the best of creation, to love him and to express that love through poetry is a noble deed.

But I agree with you that some Naats do have polytheism in them, loving and respecting the Prophet :saw2: as our Teacher and Leader is great but worshipping him is not, he is not a deity, he warned us not to start worshiping him the way Christians started worshipping Jesus :allaih:.

Unfortuantely some of our brothers are too stubborn to admit that they are wrong even though their beliefs and practices are sometimes in stark contrast to the Quran and Sunnah, they claim to love the Prophet :saw2: yet they would rather turn a blind eye to his authentic Ahadeeth in favour of what some money grabbing Peer or cannabis-smoking Sheikh says, the lover is to the beloved obedient…

Re: Naats and shirk

As we should be careful listening or saying sensitive things like this, we should also be very careful calling such practices Shirk or these people Mushriq. We can say that we should be careful but should not call people mushriq or some practices shirk. We simply do not have enough knowledge about them.

Even though we might believe that what they are doing is wrong, we can call it anything but shirk. This is sort of mega-gunah calling a muslim as mushriq.

:lajawab:

i agree with hareem tht we are not supposed to judge people, or label someone kafir or whatever…there’s only one judge: ALLAH TA’ALA

but yea it’s really disappointing when some nasheeds we really like to listen turn out to have some shirk/inappropriate words:hinna:
