Re: naas

if it's spelled as 'NAAS' [letters noon, alif, seen], it means naswaar, hulaas is a kinda tobacco which is sniffed by the nose.

can you possibly spell it out in Urdu?

did you mean NAS = VEIN, btw? nas is spelled as NOON, SEEN

Re: naas

thank you for respondig bhai . she keeps saying nas chargai hai meri nas chargai .. but i need to know exactly what is hurting .. i dont think its the vein (the nas) .. could it be muscle cramp or something or si it really the vein whcih is hurting .. this is what i want to know that when someone says they have pain because theyr nas chargai so what does it exacty mean ?

Re: naas

you welcome!

oh i get it!!!

she means 'nas chaRh gaii' [nas = vein; chaRh gaii = climbed/perched]

it's a phrase which refers to a medical condition which is similar to 'muscle cramps'. it causes severe pain for a few seconds and then it goes away on it's own.

Re: naas

You sure it's naas and not "naaf"? Naaf is Bellybutton...

Re: naas

I think we call it Naar as in blood vessel and checking the blood being Naavs ko check karna.

Re: naas

its a desi psychological / somatic issue. doctor wouldn't understand it... something just like the 'jigar ki garmi' etc etc

Re: naas

naas peeti ka kiya matbal hota hai. ;)

Re: naas

she needs to move her foot in different direction, doctor could not do magic. I had nas charing couple of time in past and that is what i used to do.

Re: naas

Nas ulji sulja rey doctor - mein na laga'oon ge hath rey :D

Re: naas

good question! :)

there are two similar sounding words from two different languages here...one is NAAS [noon, alif, seen] in Hindi as in 'satyaNAAS' which means 'barbaadii' and the other word is of Faarsii origin NAAS noon, alif, suaad] which is the shorter version of NASEEB as in 'naas peeTii'...jiskaa naseeba peeTaa huaa ho ya'nii bad-naseeb.

yeh ek qism kii aurtoN kii gaali hai...it's a mild gaali though!

Re: naas

Nas char gayee is usually muscle cramp, because of dehydration.

Re: naas

Ankle cramp or may be she has a sprain. Does she have pain in both of her ankles?
An injured or torn ligament may also cause ankle pain and swelling.
