Na aar, na paar

Na aar, na paar

Bus aik Ehsas ka tarazu,
Jis mey iss ka khwab her lemha tuley
Jo heye bey-Keemet,

In num ankhoon ka beynoor jukhao
Talatum-e-nafs mey khoe howee,
Ya phir manind ik bhujtee, sard shema

Yeye debey ilfaz, aur aik shemi howee si rooh
Rheti hey, Udasi, aur khedsha keye der mey
Yeye sawal, wohh jawab ki uljhen mey

Aik farar, tow doosra shumar
Iss per, dhikhey
Kabhee khudee, kabhee do-tarf ka hal, aur kabhee sirf tu!

Re: Na aar, na paar

Immensely difficult for me to understand. I am sure it will be a good piece for others. Sorry Dushwari :(

Re: Na aar, na paar

Amal,

sorry for that. but here is what i think might help in gaining insight into the poem.

first two line sets are retrospective.
second two, are about the current state of mind.

the poem aims to humbly state the peril of indecision that is not due to one's own mind's confusion, but will be based on factoring in others' opinions in making the final decision.

yet, there are things to un ravel, to think through
previous ways of living have to be changed.
a revival is taking place within & without.

but happiness that someone 'well-worth it' finally came around & is here is expressed in the last line.

and on top of it

but the arrival is too good to be not held on to.
hope is rekindling
fore caring self is surfacing
hopefully something 'welcome', will ensue.

hope this helps.

Re: Na aar, na paar

Thanx for the details Dushwari :k: I guess it had more to do with your typing style than the poem itself. Thanx again
