This defeat of talli will have one more long lasting effect in pak politics. now the leaders will know that if you join a dictator then you may get some post for a while but you can kiss your career goodbye after that.

The PML N has won the election so it is their achievement.

Often by-election is won by the ruling party because they can focus their sources at one point.
And this election has become a matter of their future.
So they used every source and won.

I said PML[N] WOULD win, that DOES NOT mean I wanted them to win.
PML[N] and NAwaz Sharif are too soft on Zardari. If they go after him with the same fervor as they went after Musharraf, then yes, they deserve to win.

The federal government lies with PPP, they can easily find out who killed BB, and who attacked Sheikh Rashid, as far as SR he is no innocent himself that he's trying to portray himself now! The attack on him was uncalled for and I thought maybe this would turn the tide for him in the election but that was not so, and this is a good thing as people would think many times now for supporting dictators in the future. I am really shocked with the votes PTI and JI got in this election though, and SR also got lesser votes that I was expecting.
Yes I was in hope that he has no son or daughter so he will be not in need of much money and I was in view that at least he will bring some truth out. Only see Haroon’s statement about assassination of B.B. today. I have heard but could not find that. You will be surprised. That is what I am trying to tell in different threads but do not have courage to say that directly. Most of top people and some media persons knew the facts but no one says.
This election was a little source and in my view a little work has been done. The group is now being more identified . They shown themselves and their unity. Sheikh was thinking that media is his friend but now he knew the truth. Here everyone is only for money . How much Nawaz Sharif tried to resist but he is again forced to be a dirty as he was before.

LAHORE: Chief of Awami Muslim League Sheigh Rashid Ahmed has announced that his party would boycott by-elections in NA-123 Lahore and PP-82 Jhang.
Addressing a press conference he said, “the actual face of Punjab government has come into light following the rigging and coercion exercised by it during the recent by-election in NA-55.”
He said those who call him disloyal had themselves ditched their workers before fleeing to other countries. “I will continue to expose this no.2 leadership,” he added.
Sheikgh Rashid claimed that police and Patwar Khana were misused in Rawalpindi while ‘two men stabbed me in the back’.
He requested the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to set up a commission to probe the use of force and rigging in NA-55.
“The N-League’s win in NA-55 was followed by a breakfast meeting with the Prime Minister,” Sheikh Rashid maintained, adding, it is actually a loss and not a win.
To a question he said, a physician, musician and politician never retire.
