What is so bad about Jaag Punjab Jaag phrase? Why can’t people tolerate Punjabi nationalism? They are allowed to wear their victim hood and ethnic pride on sleeves, but Punjabis can’t even chant a slogan for their province.
As far as I’m concerned - even Imran’s dharna was very much an extension of Jaag Punjab Jaag analogy/movement. Two of the main contenders for Punjab’s leadership - Imran and Nawaz Sharif - aren’t even ethnically Punjabi. Punjabis are the last people to fall for this ethnic victim-hood sheet. They are anything bunch of ethnically insecure and bitter people.
