NA 151 — The Last Debacle

**Voting concludes in NA-151
**
MULTAN: Counting for votes is currently underway after conclusion of polling for by-election of National Assembly seat NA-151 in Multan.

A total of ten candidates were contesting in the NA 151 by-polls including Yusuf raza Gilani’s son Abdul Qadir Gilani who is contesting on Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) ticket while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is supporting Shaukat Hayat Boson.

NA-151 is a ‘home ground’ of the Gilanis and with PPP being at the helm of affairs, apparently there is hardly anything that can go wrong for Gilani. This by-election may also be the last before the general elections. So let us see if there is any surprise in the ballot boxes.

Re: NA 151 — The Last Debacle

To close to call, Gillani is winning aby around 1000 votes with around 145 polling stations counted. We need to keep in view that this is Gillani's seat and he has spent billions on Multan alone, but the result would be very close to call.

Re: NA 151 — The Last Debacle

160 polling stations counted (87 to go) Bosan leading by 1766 votes.

Re: NA 151 — The Last Debacle

too close to call, Bosan leading by only 300 votes after the results of 183 polling stations.

Re: NA 151 — The Last Debacle

If Boson upsets Gilanis, it will be a huge blow to the ruling party. And if Gilanis win, it will be understandable as NA-151 is their home turf. I wish Boson delivers the blow.

Re: NA 151 — The Last Debacle

203 polling stations, Gillani leading by 544 votes now.

Re: NA 151 — The Last Debacle

44 polling stations yet to be counted. I hope even if Gilani junior makes it home, it is close enough to be a jolt.

Re: NA 151 — The Last Debacle

206 polling stations, Gillani leading by 1216 votes now.

Re: NA 151 — The Last Debacle

In 206/247 polling stations, Gillani has 54.220K while Bosan has 53.004K. The difference is increasing now.

Re: NA 151 — The Last Debacle

Ephedrine works, apparently!

Re: NA 151 — The Last Debacle

lead increasing now, almost 1900 with 30 polling stations to go.

Re: NA 151 — The Last Debacle

**In 2008, YRG got 70,664 votes (54%), S Bosan (PMLQ) 45,765, PMLN 18,413. It seems PPP has lost support whatever final result maybe **#NA151](https://twitter.com/#!/search/%23NA151)

Re: NA 151 — The Last Debacle

Gillani has won the election...

Re: NA 151 — The Last Debacle

A few points from this elections:

1) PPP has won it but their votes have dropped although during the past 4 years Gillani has spent billions on Multan alone, so a point to ponder for them

2) PTI was not fully contesting the elections, but their and PMLN's tacit support was with Bosan. The two parties will have to think about high profile constituencies like this one in the next elections for doing some seat adjustments if they want to get some extra constituencies otherwise even today PPP would have sailed along comfortably.

Re: NA 151 — The Last Debacle

What's the final tally?

Re: NA 151 — The Last Debacle

According to Mansoor the lead is increasing but Fawad Chaudhary has already declared victory.

Gillani kaisay haar sakta hai, us ne itnay kaam kiye hayn apni constituenc(ies)y ke liye :chai:

NA 151 — The Last Debacle

It's ppp stronghold and their votes are down considerably. Had PTI or pmln done performed half of the campaigning that gillani did, this 4000 odd difference would have been easily overturned.
