**Voting concludes in NA-151
**
MULTAN: Counting for votes is currently underway after conclusion of polling for by-election of National Assembly seat NA-151 in Multan.
A total of ten candidates were contesting in the NA 151 by-polls including Yusuf raza Gilani’s son Abdul Qadir Gilani who is contesting on Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) ticket while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is supporting Shaukat Hayat Boson.
NA-151 is a ‘home ground’ of the Gilanis and with PPP being at the helm of affairs, apparently there is hardly anything that can go wrong for Gilani. This by-election may also be the last before the general elections. So let us see if there is any surprise in the ballot boxes.
To close to call, Gillani is winning aby around 1000 votes with around 145 polling stations counted. We need to keep in view that this is Gillani's seat and he has spent billions on Multan alone, but the result would be very close to call.
If Boson upsets Gilanis, it will be a huge blow to the ruling party. And if Gilanis win, it will be understandable as NA-151 is their home turf. I wish Boson delivers the blow.
1) PPP has won it but their votes have dropped although during the past 4 years Gillani has spent billions on Multan alone, so a point to ponder for them
2) PTI was not fully contesting the elections, but their and PMLN's tacit support was with Bosan. The two parties will have to think about high profile constituencies like this one in the next elections for doing some seat adjustments if they want to get some extra constituencies otherwise even today PPP would have sailed along comfortably.
By elections Multan #NA151](https://twitter.com/#!/search/%23NA151)** update: Results frm 230 poling stations show A.Q.Gillani leading Bosan by 3824 votes. Result v 15 stations left**
It's ppp stronghold and their votes are down considerably. Had PTI or pmln done performed half of the campaigning that gillani did, this 4000 odd difference would have been easily overturned.
