As long americans or any western power is their in Afghanistan, there cannot be peace in Pakistan, the key element is, Pakistani forces are capable of acheiving targets in Afghanistan provided American keep them funding and do not cut the supply line... ( same old story)
This is the only way we can have peace and relatively attractive investment-friendly enviornment in Pakistan... our country will not and shall not be depended on one country for cash-in-flows...

He is not wrong, YOU are wrong. Foreign presence ALWAYS fuels a resistance and it will persist as long as US is present there. Either Afghanistan can be handed over to NATO thus leaving the impression that one (foreign) country is holding the reigns or completely pull-out. If they really want people from Northern Alliance in power then they can provide full supply of arms and money so they can take over Afghanistan (just like Taliban did in 1990s). As long as there is war like situation in Afghanistan and our border stays as porous as it is WE PAKISTANIS CAN NOT BE IN PEACE even if we want to.
Now you can continue your rant of how important it is for US to stay in Afghanistan.
