All **the refugees settled in Punjab were from the Lahore and Jalandhar division, and parts of Ambala District. **These were and are ethnic Punjabis. Muslim communities from Karnal, Rohtak, Dujana, Pataudi and Gurgaon, as well as from the Chief Commisioner’s Province of Delhi were sent to Sindh. The earliest refugees in Karachi came from these regions. Sardar Shaukat Hayat Khan Khattar, the Refugee minister made clear he only wanted Punjabis. I must commend Pir Illahi Bukhs of Sindh, who worked long and hard for the resettlement of refugees.

5 million refugees came to punjab and about 1 to 1.5 million in sindh.Most of the lahore division became part of pak punjab.
are you saying that punjab recieved all its 5 million refugees from jalandahar and parts of ambala division?
