1) A growing feeling that we dont have any share in national politics as a people. Please analyze the Political history of Pakistan from the mid 50s upto 1984 & analyze the insignificance of these people in National Politics, the failure of Fatima Jinnah was very strongly felt in this regards.., the feeling was that if a fairy tale story cant succeed then the rest of us will have no significant role in National Politics in Pakistan. This feeling of isolation from mainstream national politics gradually sowed the seeds of regionalism
The feeling of not having a string role in national politics makes sense when it comes from a community that is largely dis-advantaged and backward such as Balochis, but, does not make sense if it comes from a community that was and still is at top of socio-economic order in Pakistan. The household survey of Karachi in 1998 showed that muhajir and punjabis had best socio-economic status.
Its true that the feeling of an eroding power for muhajirs came during Bhutto era, but this was relative to their previously held position and not relative to Sindhis who remained disadvantaged compared to urban population.
As for being docileand passive, pathans consider every other community passive as compared to them. They had similar attitude in Punjab.
