Here can we all please share your favourite Myths and Legends regardless of which culture or time they are from… I am a big fan of Sagas and my own culture has relied on epic scale Oral narratives to pass down our history and culture across the generations…

Every culture has its own heroes and villains and love interests and icons, we should share what we all hold to be ours or our favourite.

We live in the area famous for its big foot sightings. I am not sure how true that is but our local DWS carries shoes up to size 24.

Coincidence? I think not.

However Rasool Allah was not a myth, Nauzabillah. He was Rehmath al Alaameen and everything about him is proven not just by history but by Koran shareef too.

A myth is when you dont know for sure,… we can be certain about Nabi Pak salalho Alyhi wassalam.

Hmmm bigfoot is interesting becuase did not the ancient Indians apparently believe in him before the “white mans” comming?

Also what was the native name for bigfoot Sasquatch? :konfused: It is yet to be known however wether Bigfoot was scientific or merely mythical.

Yes faris, most of the myths actually originated through native Americans

I know an old myth regarding the horse, in many cultures horses hold a special status and strangely both Turkic and Arab legends are simmilar as to how about the horse came to be...

In Arab version Allah thala created the horse as a gift to the son of Hazrat Nuh alaysalaam. It was created by taking the essence of the east wind and taming it into the body of a creature.... the horse.

In the Turkic legend the horse was made by Tengri (Allah) by combining all four winds and given as a gift to mankind...

I know both legends are going to be dismissed by most people as just myths but at the end of the day there is no denying a magical aspect to the horse and maybe or at least I would like to think so Allah did make the horse for a special purpose from the fastest of winds... :)

... myths dont have any refference at all they are myths told from person to person. Some are real others are just made up to scare or please people. :)

I heard a sikh came on work visa here. He was working in a company as ‘free visa’ (illegal expartiate b’coz the agent keep their passport in his custody and let him at his own mercy) While living here, he inspired by by religion of Islam, embraced it and continued his works. 2 or 3 years back the govt. announced general amnesty for illegal expatriate to leave this country without paying any dues etc. He went to his embassy to get an out-pass (a one way travel document) but the embassy refused to help him b’coz he failed to provide his identification documents b’coz it were not in possesion of him. It was with agent he don’t knw who was him. So he can avail opportunity of this general amnesty and continued living as it. A lady from royal family heard about him and wrote a letter alongwith demand letter to the embassy asking them to issue a passport to him she’ll happily take him under her sponsorship but the embassy still rejected the case.

Now this gentleman work under her sponsorship (without any visa etc) and live alone (without his wife + kidz in home country). I guess he’s a legend who embraced Islam and sacrified everything, his nationality, family, kidz, property, friends etc.

Its more like your dream than a myth. Why are you so much worried about converting people. I call bull sh*t on this story.
