Myths about the Iraqi WAR!

Before the start of this war, the Americans were propagating the following myths:

Myth #1) People of Iraq are against Saddam, therefore they would embrace Americans with open arms. According to American media, the Americans want to save the Iraqis from the tyranny of Saddam. If that was so where is the warm welcome from the general public with garlands and sweets that the Americans were hoping for? A very nice welcome indeed, especially the pictures of the Iraqis looking for the American pilots which they thought had jumped with the help of a parachute in a stream.

Myth #2) Iraq is a divided country, with minority sunnis, and majority shias which makes 65 % of the total population, and the Kurds. The Americans thought that the shias and Kurds would stand up against the Iraqi government. There has not been any support from the shias in particular for the Americans, for those who dont know the areas where the Americans are seeing the toughest resistance are shia dominated, like Basra, Najaf, Nasiriya etc.

Myth #3) Iraq has WMDs. Where are the WMD’s now?

Myth #4) Iraq would be a walkover, since its army was destroyed in the 10 years war with Iran, and they didnt have any weaponary due to the sanctions during the past 10 years. There hasent been a walkover in Iraq.

Keeping in mind the intelligent guys sitting in the White house and Pentagon, after this war which country will US liberate?

Myth #1: Iraq will win, like it did in 91. :hehe:

Myth #2: Iraq is going to be a major challenge: It is day 6 of the war. Not 8006. Have patience little ones.

Myth #3: The arabs will unite burp

Very true zaav and chalta hai.

So who you are chalta hai ? Just curious.

BTW, as far as the American think tank is concern, they have warned Bush Administration that Jordan and Saudia Arabia are at the brink of civil revolution which can over throw the puppet rulers. Also that this could lead an over-all arab world revolution, which is by all means no good for the American forces in post war era in the region and their sweet heart Israel. The whole region could messed up from US point of view.

This can only help the US all the more. The puppet rulers will buy more arms and put the down the so called revolution.

Re: Myths about the Iraqi WAR!

They have been consistently claiming in the last six days or so that they have taken Umm Qasr an uninhabited port town only 1 km from the Kuwaiti border, but are still fighting for that today.

Then they claimed they had captured Basra, Nasiriya and Najaf etc, and we here they have just been chased out of Basra. :hehe:

Myth after myth being demolished by the great Iraqi resistance fighters -Shia’s Sunni’s and Christians united despite American propoganda…

Myth #1: Saddam will be captured and brought to justice, like OBL and Omar

Myth #2: Iraqi ppl will celebrate US victory like the Afghans did in front of cameras for a pair of dollars.

Myth #3: Iraq will be a democracy like Afghanistan is now!
