Myth #5: "I can lose weight while eating whatever I want."

**Myth #6: “I can lose weight while eating whatever I want.”

**
Fact:

To lose weight, you need to use more calories than you eat. It is possible to eat any kind of food you want and lose weight. You need to limit the number of calories you eat every day and/or increase your daily physical activity. Portion control is the key. Try eating smaller amounts of food and choosing foods that are low in calories.

How To Recognize And Control Food Portions

Tip:

When trying to lose weight, you can still eat your favorite foods, as long as you pay attention to the total number of calories that you eat.

..and total number of calories you burn off.

I will share my personal experience.
back in uni, played for uni soccer team and messed up my knee and ankle royally..was in cast and then in physical rehab. mush of spring, all of summer, by fall time I had gained 25+ lbs

coach had me work with this guy doing his phd in sports nutrition, he did the whole body fat composition analyses and gave me a diet and workout plan

I stuck pretty close to workout plan, and that was atleats 4 days a week, stationary bike, weight training and recreational racquetball because my knee was still not good enough to go too crazy.

I did not follow the dirt plan at all..no breakfast, sometimes no lunch, dinner would be pizzas, two foot long subway subs..seafood and crab for one and steak for the other. chinese crap lie general tso etc etc

following his schedule he had me dropping all the weight by the end of the semester.. I dropped it in three months.

so I did eat whatever I wanted, and lost weight, but then I was burning some serious calories.
