Mysterious shifting of Zardari Swiss case documents

Legal and accountability department of the government should be totally independent as our high office holders can destroy valuable evidence against themselves. Watch the video at 4th minute to see how our Wajid Shams ul Hassan our UK ambassador reacts when he is caught red handed…

Re: Mysterious shifting of Zardari Swiss case documents

Well done to Geo, some real stuff and lame duck NRO beneficences UK high commissioner just mumbled without saying anything. so they are starting the operation clean up before these case can be re opened. SWiss cases are not under Pakistani courts etc, they only rely on evidences and cases were stopped only when the Pakistan govt taken these back.

yet another shameful act by mega corrupt Zardari and Co

Re: Mysterious shifting of Zardari Swiss case documents

Pathetic

Re: Mysterious shifting of Zardari Swiss case documents

I don't understand why there is total absence of this new item from all media. Even Jang and its affiliates presented the video for one single day only. After that Jang/The News/Geo are all silent on it. All other media outlets did not report it at all.

Re: Mysterious shifting of Zardari Swiss case documents

^^ They just want people to think and then keep on thinking on it.. as they just like people to come to them and subscribe them IF they dare they could have made it a huge news but alas.. they cant and dont want to.

Shameless people!

Re: Mysterious shifting of Zardari Swiss case documents

the reason why it may have not been aired again, its due to govt pressure nothing else.

It's hard to believe that Jang group stopped it due to political pressure. Even if it was political pressure on Jang, still other players in political arena, eg Nawaz and Imran Boy, should have picked up the story.

Jang was claiming that those boxes had Zardari's documents. But did anyone say anything about it in the clip Jang showed? Looks like it was nothing but a claim from that half-journalist. And Jang's editors presented this clip and its claim in all their outlets without any proof.

I wonder what Jang got from that story. While it lost some more of its credibility in the eyes of few, this story will serve as a fuel to the rumor mills all around the country. People will be swearing about Zardari's alleged corruption based on this half-a-story-half-a-truth from Jang.

Re: Mysterious shifting of Zardari Swiss case documents

^^^ You don’t think people involved in corruption would do anything to destroy evidence?

ISLAMABAD: Almost the entire diplomatic staff of the Pakistan High Commission in London has completely distanced itself from the activities of the high commissioner, showing ignorance about the 12 cartons of sensitive evidence taken from Geneva which were supposed to have landed in the Pakistan HC on Tuesday but never did. Nafees Zakaria, Minister Political/Consul General, told The News the question regarding these cartons should be asked from the high commissioner. He said he did not see any such carton in the HC building.

Zakaria was reluctant to say he was completely out of the picture on this issue. “I did not say I am completely out of picture but I have not seen any such thing in the high commission and you can better judge about these things,” he said when he was pressed to share some information about the whereabouts of this material which was collected after spending millions of rupees of taxpayers’ money. Khalid Ahsan, Minister Coordination, also showed his ignorance about the arrival of any such material in the High Commission. “You people better know about the places where such things are kept,” he said.

Third Secretary Taj Muhammad said there was no need to worry about the record as a senior official of NAB is accompanying it and it is in his custody.

“I don’t know about the whereabouts of the record but I am sure it is safe wherever it is,” Taj said. When pressed that he was the relevant person being the staff officer of the high commissioner and should disclose the location of the record, he said this scribe should better contact Danishwar Malik, who is the concerned person. When told that Danishwar was not taking the calls, he said he himself will call Danishwar and will ask him to take the call. Despite Taj’s calls to Danishwar, he did not take any call from this scribe.

NAB Chairman Naveed Ahsan was sure on Wednesday that the record was present in the Pakistan HC and there would be no problem regarding any tempering with the record. Naveed has also promised that after talking to the prosecutor general in London, he will inform The News about the exact situation on Thursday. However, on Thursday, Naveed was inaccessible.

Presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar, however, has showed his ignorance regarding transfer of this sensitive record from Geneva to London.

I think so, yes. But no one knows what was in those boxes. To say that these boxes had documents of money laundering is nothing but speculation.

With all that was going on in swiss courts I suppose these boxes were full of recipes on how to make kheer.

Re: Mysterious shifting of Zardari Swiss case documents

And this is why you shouldn't allow politicians to decide who serves in the Embassies abroad. This lota most likely did it for some money.

I think those who are upset on removal of boxes are against democracy. One should understand that these boxes were harmful for political activities in the country because they were diseased (boxes were full of dead mouse and hazardous for health).

As far as corruption goes, it is right of Pakistani politicians including Nawaz Shareef and Zardari, as mentioned in the video below by politicians. Actually, according to Pakistani politicians (as shown in Video below), PPP has done least corruption in Pakistan because they got least time in power, plus as one politician in video mentioned, those one in thousand politicians who may not have done corruption (something rarely true in Pakistan) does that and become loser (woh apna hee nuqsaan karta hay). Hence:

Anyhow, to any knowledgeable person on this forum who has connections: Please tell me how to be a Pakistani politician as I am fed up with living on hard earned money :(. I want easy money too. Pakistan is a country that has lot of Mangoes and those who can suck the country … errrr… I mean Mango, should suck it.

Pakistani politician zindabaad
Politician kee ballay ballay

It is easy, do as Altaf did, start chanting against a ethinic group and base your politics on hatered and start giving strike calls, shut the market/shops by force, last not least, go for bhata khori to finance all the activities....you know better than me how to do this

yar ... are you my enemy or friend? By doing what you are advising, I would end up living in London pigeonhole houses all my life with no enjoyment of Pakistani elites life what Pakistani politician enjoy, above law and above all restrictions. I am not interested in such dry and ordinary life.

I want to be real Pakistani politicians who become President, Prime Minister, Governor, Chief Minister, Senator, Minister of State, Minister in provinces, Member of National Assembly, Member of Provincial Assembly, Member of standing committees, etc. I want lowly Pakistanis serve me as their Master and bureaucrats answer to me with shivering legs.

I want to live in Palace on 100s of Acres as King like Nawaz live in Raiwand on 100s of acre Palace. I want 1000s of plots allotted to me free all over Pakistan. I want my imports duty free and position where I can rob country whatever I like (having motto: I see it, I like it, I rob it). I want to get billions in loan that later I can get it written off (forgiven) just like Nawaz and other politicians do. I would earn (well steal) billions and pay no tax. I want 100s of factories built on looted money that pays no taxes like what Shareef brothers and others have done. I want 10s of sugar mills, shopping plazas, and 1000s of acres farm lands in Pakistan. I want to dish out jobs, permit, plots, positions, etc to my relatives and friends. I want commissions in billions and buy million of dollars worth Diamond necklace for my wife. I want to have polo-ground in Prime Minister House and feed Apple Murabba to my horses. I want to move around in Pakistan on flagged luxury car with 100s of escort cars and security personals all around me while lowly Pakistanis are stopped even to move around while I am on road. I want to import snow tiger and make special air-conditioned habitat for it. I want to be treated as loyalty by Pakistanis and Pakistani bureaucrats. I want to break laws at will and no one can make me accountable of that. I want to turn Zina-bil-Jabr into Zina-bil-Raza as Nawaz law minister does. I want to leave throne of Pakistan to my next generation as gift and inheritance.

What type of advice you are giving to me? I want to really enjoy life amongst Kammies and idiots as King, not rot in UK where laws prevails and my authority nil.

Re: Mysterious shifting of Zardari Swiss case documents

^lol

for that u either need to marry politician who have inherited a political party..later you kill her in a blast and become leader...

or

you need to have father who steel mills and can afford to buy you MNAs/votes

if u cannot do above then u need to become molana,, have big fat belly...

There may be some objectionable, illegal material in them. But how come Jang was claiming for sure that those were the documents of money laundering ready to be destroyed?

I read that Swiss courts have copies of those documents. So destroying them does not mean anything. One can get a copy of those docs by paying some special fee.

This was clearly another case of Jang’s yellow journalism, sensationalism, and bias against Zardari/PPP.

Whether we like or dislike PPP or Zardari is not the question here. It is about Jang and its journalistic ethics.
Jang group is biased against PPP, especially Zardari. Anything they say about them should be taken with scepticism. Actually, we need a big news outlet that can confront lies and false rumors that are initiated from Jang and its like-minded newspapers. Especially in the field of Urdu journalism. In English, Dawn is doing pretty good job by beingan unbiased and independent newspaper. But Urdu newspapers have more readers, and therefore more impact on society.
