Any democracy is better than a General. The people crying about Pakistani democracy, remember, its a damn process. The process has never been completed. Only one govt was allowed to complete term. Cant expect miracles. People grow in democracy politically. No to any Army intervention ever. Do you really thing a gang of 12 Core commanders can think better than millions of voters. Have trust and patience.

Any democracy is better than a General, is not only a absurd statement, but joke on human intelligence. It is true that on average, a democratic government is better than military or monarchy (both were same in old days), but that is only true if there is proper democracy. On the other hand, if crooks and thugs get into power using the name democracy, than a country gets a system that is worse than worse of dictatorship, monarchy or military rule. For instance, Hitler got into power through democracy as he got elected and became head of Germany, still his rule can be considered worse than any historical dictatorship, monarchy or military rule.

On the other hand, we have exemplary Monarchy of Sulaiman (AS) and Dawood (AS), whose story of rule is in Quran. So was the rule of Zulqarnain (mentioned in surah Kahf), who was again a Monarch. Best part is that, all three were Generals too.

So, unless you deny what is mentioned in Quran, you cannot make claim that democracy is better than General.
