I think democracy in UK and many western countries are perfect … or at least near to perfect.
Anyhow, you are right that most democratic governments, especially in third world countries, are not perfect. But still, they are democracy.
One most important part of democracy is independence of Election commission, Accountability department, intelligence agencies, judiciary, police, bureaucracy and establishment. Since in Pakistan, no department is independent, Pakistan has no democracy.
In Pakistan we have Crooks and Thugs ruling in the name of democracy. Place of such Crooks and Thugs is prison or rope, but that could not happen as they have made all departments their slaves. Only institution that is relatively free from their influence is armed forces, and that is why it is duty of armed forces to free Pakistanis from illegal occupation of these crooks and thugs, kick their dirty asses and send them where they deserve to be.
