First time I got it done it dint hurt that much .. i got it done from a desi jewelry place in jackson hts (NYC) and it was just a pinch.. however, i had to keep it in for a few weeks before I could change it, and i dunno but somethin weird happened.. sorta got infected (coz i’m allergic to non-gold stuff) 
Second time I got it pierced, i got it done from a lil gulli-wala jewelers, and it HURTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT 
And to make it worse, a few hours later, every1 made me take it out, and put in a gold one and it hurttttttttttttttt, i was crying and screaming (yeah im a baby).. and a day later, we put the screw into the koka and that hurT !!! But after that.. nothing.. my nose is perfectly fine now, never had any problem or allergic reaction thankgoodness
