Help! I’m getting married next August and I don’t have my invitations picked out yet. But since it’s summertime and people plan their vacations early, I’m afraid that there will be scheduling conflicts if I don’t get busy. Should I send out “save the date” cards?

save the date's are always a good idea! you do have time until next august, if you mean 2010, that is... they're usually sent out a year in advance for out of town/country guests. if you mean this august though, you definitely need to send them out in the next couple of weeks! 6 months in advance is also good.
