^ thanx:)... the cost started at 85rs per card came down to 65rs we had 250cards as well as 50 seperate mehndi ones so 300 in total i thought it was quite reasonable considerig what i had seen in the market at this price!!

why did you had to make 50 separe for mehindi..
well i am not sure so thats why i want to ask....as long as i know walima is from the groom's side so they do the invitation right....the bride side doesnt have to do the invitation for walima right...

hehe.. I ended up making my own weddin cards too. My dad wanted them to be in urdu.. and obv since we had a mixed gathering here so I just did urdu n english text keepin the same layout. (saved us big bucks too..) but yeah, we just stuck with real simple urdu wordings... hope these help. (but im sure u can find wayyy fancier ones online)

its optional really sometimes the groomside gives out the valima cards and u provide them with the wedding cards.. but in my case i dint wat 2 seperate cards otherwise i wudnt hav been able to create what i did it wud hav looked incomplete without all 3 occasions ..my inlaws wanted the same so we both gave out our own set of cards
the reason for the 50 seprate mehndi cards frm our side was because my inlaws wer not keeping a mehndi they had not prepared the mehndi cards.. so it was an invite frm ourside
just a thought... what if u dont like the cards frm the groomside i mean what if u thought they wer ugly as hell? wud u stil want to giv out those cards to ur family and friends? everyone has a difference in choice and u either prepare well or prepare for the worst. i guess ppl dnt pay too much attention to these things and endup whining about how crap the cards looked later on isnt it better to just giv out ur own cards and save urself frm the misery ;)

no i did not actually make the cards as i said b4 they wer printed frm a card shop i only gave them the design an outlook that i sketched and gave samples of the colours .. so no software used on my end
