My views on the London Station Murder

Re: My views on the London Station Murder

It's rather scary isn't it. That an innocent person is shot down just like that?

God help us from the so called heros such as the police men who shot this guy down!

Re: My views on the London Station Murder

yes, he was innocent. but there was no “just like that”…let’s be honest.

Re: My views on the London Station Murder

Damn right…wearing a puffa jacket in 2005 is asking for it really. Even worse the fact that he didn’t detonate the jacket while taking a bus ride. What was he thinking??!

Re: My views on the London Station Murder

elaborate?

Plus isn’t there some rule that says to shoot at the legs or something, the aim is to capture not kill?

Yeah yeah a very silly question, but I don’t know much about shooting people.

And oh yeah since when did a killer description become the brown, Muslim/desi with a bag ? Sheesh its so ridiculous it’s not even funny!

Re: My views on the London Station Murder

and so now i say something equally stupid and sarcastic?

Re: My views on the London Station Murder

with suicide bombers, you have to shoot to kill…meaning a headshot. the logic behind it is that even with 1% life, a bomber can detonate his bomb. while it is true that in all likelihood, a bomber would detonate if he feels threatened…there are still many reasons why he might not do so.

since brown Muslim/desi with bags became the killers?

Re: My views on the London Station Murder

:rotfl: a guy toppled, rendered helpless can still detonate bomb :rotfl: then I wonder why he was allowed to ride a bus, why was he toppled at all when he could’ve detonated bomb while still in control? why didn’t they shoot him well before that? Please answer with your theories so I can laugh again.

Re: My views on the London Station Murder

unfortunately the pictures of the “suspects” they have released of last attempted bombing don’t seem to have any bags at all, I wonder how and why.

Re: My views on the London Station Murder

^^ If you are holding a cell phone, how much energy does it take to push the green button? More than likey the police waited until he was in a wide open area to confront him before he fled into the Tube station. Fleeing into the Tube of course reinforced the Police suspicion that he had a bomb.

LONDON, England (CNN) – Mobile phones are in the hands of millions of people around the world. And increasingly, it appears, in the hands of terrorists.

The bombers who targeted commuter trains in Madrid on March 11 used the built-in alarm clock in mobile phones to set off explosives.

In Jerusalem, it is believed a call to a cell phone in a rucksack set off a bomb at Hebrew University in 2002, killing seven.

One of the Bali bombs outside the Sari nightclub in October 2002 had a cell phone attached, as did a car bomb which killed 12 people at the Jakarta Marriott hotel last August.

David Claridge, of the Risk Advisory Group, said: "Mobile phones are relatively cheap, you can acquire them in relatively large numbers and you can build a whole stack of them at one time and place them and set them off at your leisure.

“It means that you can step away some considerable distance, the other side of the world, in order to initiate the explosive device.”

Re: My views on the London Station Murder

its sad.. pakistanis get blamed for everything.

Re: My views on the London Station Murder

Even when you are toppled, does it mean you The Ohioguy has capability of taking out your mobilephone from your pocket even when you are toppled and you are in control of few policemen? wow, you are an amazing stunt master :salute:

Re: My views on the London Station Murder

Oh captain my captain. Do you own a cell phone? Try this. Select a number. Hold your thumb over the green "Send button". Continue to old your thumb over the green button and put it in your pocket. Even if someone tackled you, all you would have to do is have the strength to push the little green button. If the suspect continually held his hand is his pocket, they might suspect that the bomb, or explosive vest was already armed, and awaiting the smallest push on a button.

The only way to prevent you from pushing that little button is to instantly and completely disable your nervous system, ie shooting you in the head. Even then the slightest flich might cause you to push the button.

By the way, this tactic is not new. It was the most successful technique at preventing explosions with Tamil Tigers suicide bombers. Are the police jumpy and trigger happy? Probably, they are human, and they have experienced 8 attempted or actual bombs in two weeks. I am certain that they want to kill those still on the loose, as well as prevent further deaths.

Re: My views on the London Station Murder

Ohioguy, read the news article regarding the shooting once again, the guy was running, cornered then toppled, now tell me how can you manage to keep your hand on the phone all this time. unless you are some sorta "Robocop".

Re: My views on the London Station Murder

Sure, the guy runs INTO a recent target site and the police are supposed to instantaneously figure this out that he doesn't mean any harm? You have never seen a thief holding a bag of money as he runs? His behavior was bizzare to the police, and they screwed up. But given the circumstances, and the current tensions, the shooting was explainable. An accident.

The next time if they flinch, a bomber could kill a hundred, that is the cold calculus at work here.

Re: My views on the London Station Murder

An accident

7 shots in the head and u call it Fu cking accident

Re: My views on the London Station Murder

the accident was not the specific actions taken by the police, as the killing was obviously 100% intentional.

the accident was making the incorrect conclusion that the man was a bomber when he was not.
