My turtles...

Well, I had these two turtles as my pets. I left them with my neighbors as I left for Lahore on the 3rd day of Eid upon hearing that my cousin was in a critical state. When I came back after attending his funeral, I found out that my beloved pets died within few days in our absence. I wonder how my neighbors treated the poor souls. My brother was kind enuff to save them for me in his cell…I just received 'em, thought I 'd share their pics with you guys…

aww they are the shweetest things. I'm sorry for your loss.

Maybe this is an indication to get one - the kind that Furqan has?

Thanks PCG and hey I never checked out Furqee's thread. I thought he'd be introducing a little kid in that thread. Well, Raphael is awesome and remind me of my turtles all the more :--( .

I guess, I am gonna keep lovebirds or those finches now. These little turtles that don't grow beyong a few centimeters are great to have as pets but oh well...they actually create a lot of mess, you know what I mean...

wow !!! they look sooo cute

Just today afternoon - I was with my boys in the mall - we just entered the pet shop to take a look around - not buy anything ( wife doesnt like to keep JAANWAR in the house - she says I (ME) am enough trouble and she cant afford any more living in the same house :rotfl: )
anyway as the story goes - my boys just went overboard when they saw the rabbits - really small ones with fluffy tails and pink eyes - I had a hard time pulling them away from the cage - when we stumbled upon a aquarium full of those small turtles - all of them bunched together like small babies on a big stone - they loved so absolutely adowwable

but when I saw the price tag - I almost jumped outa my skin
about $69.99 for each of those tiny lil turtles

Well - my boys gave me a choice - take em home (the turtles) or leave em there (the boys) :teary1:

The rest is a long story … how we got home - they are still not talking to me…

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thats so cute!

Minerva-- the poor poor things.Gosh I hate it when pets die.

Me too. Getting rid of the corpses can be sooo inconvenient

Cant u just freeze the corpses and barBQ em on Sunday :yummy:

My friends neighbors...their kids decided to see whats under the shell of the turtle.

Used everything rock, hammer, brick. Finally they were successful, when they used a car battery to slam it down on the turtle.

my turtles were buried with full protocol in the garden of my home :halo:

:flower1:

in '99 :halo:

What’s so inconvenient abt tht, you just flush it down the toilet. End of the story.

:flower1: :flower1:

Wow... Cute KASHOKOOMAY

But :(

i feel for u minerva because i have 2 turtles exactly like the ones u had.
and they live in my room with me, so they r family to me.
i could feel what u r goin through.

MQ and Smokingcool, ya poor poor innocent little creatures. I miss them sometimes, I didn’t have time otherwise I would have asked my little cousin to take them away before I left.

MAddy, it isn’t funny :hoonh: I didn’t get their corpses for the neighbors were already done with thoer karyakaram ( you know last rites) before I came back.

James…haha, thats cute. I can understand the kids love for animals. I remember when my brother was a kid, he would do the same. HEnce, my mother never stopped him from keeping choozay or love birds especially. Once we even had a white colored ( Russian Symoid bitch) puppy..they also don’t grow beyond a few feet.

GS…shukria jee…
