..and more...

Pic 1 - Waaga Border - for those that don't know...this is the border of Pakistan and India as I mentioned before..and every morning at sunrise and every evening at sunset they have this ceremony, where they'll raise the respective flags of the countries (morning) and take down the flags (evening)...it really is a sight to see!

Pic 2, 3, 4 - Waaga Border

Re: My Trip to Pakistan

These photos reminds me... I need to see more of Pakistan. I've been to Pakistan around once every year or two in my life and never once been outside of Sindh. Heck... I've only ever been out of Karachi twice!

Anyway smilestar.. did you have fun? And how did your stomach hold up? :p

Re: My Trip to Pakistan

Re: My Trip to Pakistan

yes! tons and tons and tons and tons of fun. it was a great experience. it the first time in my life that i had gone to pakistan, so it was awesome. total culture shock, even though i like to think that i'm cultured.

i'd love to go back and visit again ..anytime, but i don't think i could live there.

you can't walk down the street without feeling creeped out.

Re: My Trip to Pakistan

hehe..yup yup ..maddy was there at the time

yeah EMM, i know. but when there’s like 20 people sharing one bathroom, well that’s what is gonna happen. shrugs

Re: My Trip to Pakistan

20 people and a hole-in-the-ground toilet???

Wow… I only ever used one of thosr thrice and never was it pleasant! :bummer:

Re: My Trip to Pakistan

I dont even wana think about it … :yukh:

running out to throw up

Re: My Trip to Pakistan

well, i'm exaggerating a little..

cause it was my family, so that's 5 people, plus my khala's family..another 5 people. so more like 10 people.
we weren't staying at a hotel...we were at someone's house, and this was what was available to us..

Re: My Trip to Pakistan

Hehe… I HATED staying over with family members who only had hole in the ground toilet. Oh memories… :yukh:

Luckily everyone I stay with when I go back to Pakistan these days has mainly western-style toilets. It takes all the stress out of my business! :balley:

Re: My Trip to Pakistan

i know what you mean…
we had one western style toilet, but it was always being used…
so you had good practice ‘holding it’…

but man…pakistan style toilets are hard to use. my mum says they’re made like that so that you don’t relax and start reading magazines..:hehe: jeez..the minute your done your business, you wanna get up!

Re: My Trip to Pakistan

take that pic off please…everytime i come here it makes me wana throw-up @ maddyy:crying:

Re: My Trip to Pakistan

^ awww...shucks..

alrighty fine then..

Re: My Trip to Pakistan

But but but… reading the magazines is half the fun :crying:
