**I have had acne since 7/8 years now. I still occasionally break out even if i am doing everything right. And other times when i am being uber lazy even with my daily routine, i dont get a spec.
I have noticed that drinking plenty of water helps my skin a lot. I have like reallllllllly oily skin:bummer: but yeah water is one thing i notice a huge difference with no matter what products i use.And i tend to use least products on my face and dont experiment even with differnt stuff. Most of the stuff doesnt suit my skin and causes more break outs.**
First.............get rid of the blinding yellow font.
Secondly...consult a dermatologist, who can determine what kind of acne you have, and suggest the appropriate treatment. He or she might even recommend a very good skin care system that's easy to use...effective...a bit pricey but worth it. My aesthetician recommended the Image skin line products....which includes 2 products; a glycolic acid cleanser and vitamin C hydrating serum. The cleanser is effective enough so that I don't need a toner. A professional can provide you with effective options. You can consider laser treatment....it shrinks the oil glands so that there are fewer breakouts....you can look into chemical peels and microdermabrasion as well.
Make sure that the basics are in place. Take a multivitamin...get plenty of sleep. Sleep deprivation can throw your body out of whack and lead to acne. Exercise regularly. Avoid touching your face too much. There are many surfaces that we come into contact with every day that are especially germy (such as phones, computer mouse/keyboard, steering wheel etc)....and it's easy to spread the bacteria to your face. Consider changing your pillow case regularly. Excess dairy is known to make some people break out....so take a look at your diet....and see if you can find a pattern or connection between what you're eating and your acne. It could be due to stress...so take it easy...and even hormone related (as in a part of your PMS symptoms).
Rose water as a toner is soothing and good for oily skin, I've heard.
And out of the commercial products, I like Boots No. 7 Vanishing cream. It contains olive oil and rose water.....but it's amazing how your skin just drinks it up....without leaving a greasy feel. Your face should be slightly damp (don't dry it all the way) when you apply moisturizer because that helps your skin absorb it better.

I have had cystic acne. And since last year i am using cleaner + the acne lotion my derma had recommended. The cycstic acne alhamdolillah went away but ocassionaly i have zits etc. Like uknow 2 pimples just before ur days .I have tried everything but my skin even remains a mystry. Like i remember a few months ago i was extremely stress, studying late night and by the end of the day i cudnt even bother washing my face (just a splash of water) and my skin didnt break out. but over all i dont think any of the factors matter much.idk.
Ok this yellow is better than the previous yellow :D
I had cystic acne from ages 20-26. It was so bad that I went through several rounds of antibiotics, both oral and topical, steriodal injections on my face, and many other over the counter and prescription routines.
One day, it all cleared up on its own. So today when I look back, I really can't say what one thing helped.
But, stick to one line of treatment because sometimes we become impatient and change to something else nott realizing that we are overstimulating our skin or confusing it.
