My sister's WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!

For my sister’s wedding:

I need help with color combinations…two or even three colors that compliment each other very well.

I want to keep the top black and the bottom patti black but what about the body of the sharara…I dont want it to be red because my sister is wearing red and its HER day. What other color can it be???

Any other color combos this will look stunning in? I might just keep the style of this outfit but lighten up the work a little bit.

Additional color schemes for this one for the day of the mayun.

This one I love but what other options are there as far as colors?

Re: My sister's WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!

I absolutely love the last option! If you want you could do a pink or orange combo instead or a pink or purple?.. Anything really but I think the navy blue and green are perfect together, and its different because its an unlikely combo!

Re: My sister's WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!

for the top outfit, ANY colour you choose will go because its black and gold- universally complimentary. you could do a pink or a turqoise or a green or a rust- whatever! great choice, btw.

Re: My sister's WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fot the top, maybe a teal or turqouise...that would be a nice contrast and since it will be summer...a pretty color. What about the last one guys? ANy ideas on that?

Re: My sister's WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!

loads of mubarak on your sis wedding

Re: My sister's WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!

keep the colour as it is ...its beautiful and nice choice btw ......or go for different shades of pink or blue or green........starting from light colours from the bottom.......as it is in the picture ....:)

Re: My sister's WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!

colour combos that i love:

  • dark purple (like eggplant) and turquoise

  • rust and sea green (I have a saree in these colours and CANT wait to wear it!)

  • light tea pink and light gold

  • with black - anything goes, but i love: deep red/maroon, pink, and blue

  • a nude colour looks good with light gray or light peach/coral

So, this one…I should keep these colors? No other color combo comes to mind?

How about this one in red? Same color and type of pants.

The body of the sharara in either teal/turqouise or powder PINK with a powder pink dupatta!

Re: My sister's WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!

hmm...im not feeling the colours of the first one. it seems outdated.

u dont want the other two colours as is? they look great!

Re: My sister's WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats Reha! And great choices. I like all the colors you are picking. DOn't forget to post pics of your final outfits.

You’re talking about the bottle green and light green right? The Nayna one? Well, Im wondering about the color combo…can it be changed to something else? I have to make a decision fast because it takes forever and a decade in Pakistan for clothes and I want things to be planned and finalized otherwise I will forever be changing my mind!!! :hehe:

Thank youuuuu Niks! Im soooo excited, cant wait for the festivities to begin!!! I will post pictures of the final outfits once for suuuuure!

Why and how did I miss this?

Dark purple and turquoise sound beautifulllllllllllll! Awesome ideaaaaaaaaa!

Re: My sister's WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: My sister's WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!

My sister is also getting married in May. I am so super excited about her shaadi. But tell you what? I still haven't found an outfit to wear for her shaadi. Please help!!! If you guys have any pictures of outfits in style these days. Thanks!

Anyone have close ups or additional pictures of this sari???

I think its by Karma…I might do this one for her valima…

Thanks guys!

Re: My sister's WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes its by karma..i love that saree and want to get it

any idea whats the price?

reha are you planning to get the orignal or replicate

Re: My sister's WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!

get something elegant in gold or ivory. An elegant skirt/pishwas with simple jewels, don't go ott in bold brash colours and heavy embroideries - classy yet understated looks so nice.
