my sister went to karachi for her wedding shopping in June and i would like to share it with you all
for bridal. she really wanted a nomi ansari bridal . she booked an appointment with him and went to check it..he was very rude and plus his attitude was too much. his dresses start from 3 lakhs to 5 lakhs but its not worth wat he is charging . my sister didnt order from him because he refuse to make some changes in the dress and plus she didnt like his nasty comments. but yea she said his party wear are really nice but then again its too expensive . party wear starts from 80 k
she also checked hsy, karma, ayesha versey and zainab sajid. she finally decide to order her dress from ayesha versey. her husband took the order and is taking care of it.
she said zainab sajid was also very polite but then my sister didnt like anything from her collection
for walima and mehindi , she order it from plk . she also ordered some party wear from plk, jabeen and shakeel at tariq road . she also bought some ready made dresses from random boutiques on tariq road
jabeen and plk are 2 of the best boutique for bridal..if you cant afford a designer dress then you must check out these 2.
also order some dresses from kehkashan and gulf
for jewellery. gold is too expensive these days. 1 tolla is around 58 000 and with making its around 70,000. she ordered a set from tissori and for walima she ordered a artificial set from gulf.
she got most of her jewellery from gulf and tariq centre.
kaliyon walay dresses are in fashion these days…they look nice but the stitching is too expensive. shiffon sleeves with lawn cotton suits are also in these days. kameez are still long.
for those who will be doing their shopping in karachi. just make sure that karigars, designers takes a long time. at least 3-4 months and because of the current situaltion they might take longer.
