My Sister's Keeper.

The movie is coming out on 26th June.

I read the book and I absolutely LOVED it! It’s a really intriguing story and quite a sad one too. Anyone else read it? Or is anyone going to watch the movie? What I find really annoying is that they’ve cut off Julia Romano in the movie! And she has quite an important role in the whole story! Cameron Diaz will be playing the mother.

Here’s the links. =D

Re: My Sister's Keeper.

This book is on my 'To read' list. I can't wait till exams are over so I can get started on it.

I read the book and loved it (I mentioned it in the other thread about “What are you reading”. It’s a great book - I hope the movie does justice to the book.

Having your book turned into a movie is like seeing your oxen turned into bouillon cubes:@:

I think I am gonna go watch that movie. I watched the trailer couple of weeks ago on TV and thought what a thought provoking topic but yes indeed sad.

Re: My Sister's Keeper.

^ It is. I mean would you take organs out of your younger daughter slowly killing her to save your older daughter who'll probably die anyways or let the older daughter die?
Would you produce a child to save your elder child...and making your younger child feel like she's obliged to help her older sister out by giving parts of herself away?
What if the child that you put all your hopes on to make your older daughter better is not so hopeful...would you still love it as much? and wouldn't they feel like a let down?

it really is an emotional story. =\
