^ Try reading para 6 again. It does not say the "year 2003" but her alleged kidnapping/arrest/abduction happened in 2003 and the para 6 is talking about the US/Pak agencies admitting in that time and then refusing soon after.
ok, you are right about that and the article does make that claim but does not point to a report where the US pak agencies admitted arresting her. All I have been able to find from that time was a statement from former Pakistani minister that “you will be surprised to know what Dr. Afia has been up to” which is not an admission of custody.
Regardless, I am looking for confirmation on this report in Pak Tribune, Daily express and other Urdu papers from August 24 (the BBC article is from Aug 3 and does not talk about these claims):
**WASHINGTON: The son of Dr.Aafia Siddique is in US custody. According to reports, US officials have admitted that Ahmad, 11and half years old son of Dr.Afia has been in US custody since 2003. **
A video released at a website utube, shown US officials interrogating Ahmad. This admission by us government is being seeing of siddiqui family as not only his detention illegal but also legion the allegation case made by Washington.
If Americans are to be believed, there had been some sort of connection between Saudi Govt, Al-Qaueda, and Dr. Afia. But they had to do with her children (very inhuman treatment of those kids).
