Salam U Alaikum
The reason Im sharing with you a little story of mine is that, there are many EXTRA Liberal Muslims here in Pak and other Countries who go off claiming that Homosexuality is Halal, and Gay and Lesbo Marriages need to be legalized. I want to share this to make you all aware of those people but basically give you a perfect verse of the Quran which directly refutes their claims.
A few days ago I met two people, who claimed that homosexuality is Halal and Bisexuality is Haram. I said, ‘Didnt you read Surah Hud and Surah Shuara’? They claimed, ‘The people of Lut were actually Bisexuals’ I didnt know stayed quiet, because they seemed very knowledgable and I didnt really have a reply, but today I do:
Lets open Quran Surah Hud Verse 78 and 79. It goes like this in Arabic:
Wajaahu qawmuhu yuhraAAoona ilayhiwamin qablu kanoo yaAAmaloona assayyi-ati qalaya qawmi haola-i banatee hunna atharulakum fattaqoo Allaha wala tukhzooni fee dayfeealaysa minkum rajulun rasheed (78) Qaloo laqad AAalimta ma lanafee banatika min haqqin wa-innaka lataAAlamu manureed (79)
Translations:
Pckthall: And his people came unto him, running towards him - and before then they used to commit abominations - He said: O my people! Here are my daughters! They are purer for you. Beware of Allah, and degrade me not in (the person of) my guests. Is there not among you any upright man? They said: Well thou knowest that we have no right to thy daughters, and well thou knowest what we want.
Yusuf Ali: And his people came rushing towards him, and they had been long in the habit of practising abominations. He said: “O my people! Here are my daughters: they are purer for you (if ye marry)! Now fear Allah, and cover me not with shame about my guests! Is there not among you a single right-minded man?” They said: “Well dost thou know we have no need of thy daughters: indeed thou knowest quite well what we want!”
Shakir: And his people came to him, (as if) rushed on towards him, and already they did evil deeds. He said: O my people! these are my daughters-- they are purer for you, so guard against (the punishment of) Allah and do not disgrace me with regard to my guests; is there not among you one right-minded man? They said: Certainly you know that we have no claim on your daughters, and most surely you know what we desire.
So in short he told his people to take his daughters (By daughters there is a dispute whther he was talking about his biological daughters or he used it as an expression to refer to the women of his city), and they replied ‘laqad AAalimta ma lanafee banatika min haqqin wa-innaka lataAAlamu manureed’ In other words ‘Well dost thou know we have no need of thy daughters: indeed thou knowest quite well what we want’ or ‘Certainly you know that we have no claim on your daughters, and most surely you know what we desire’ or ‘Well thou knowest that we have no right to thy daughters, and well thou knowest what we want’. But WAIT. It doesnt end there. Now my anaylisis begins. Litrally they said, 'You certanly know that we do not have on your daughters ‘Min Haqq’. Now they said ‘Min Haq’, Min means From, and Haq means claim, need, right. So litrally, it means ‘We have no on your daughters, from claim/right/need’. This may sound gramatically incorrect but pay attention. From Right/Claim means that from the concept of Right/Claim, there is a specific Right/Claim which they do not need. Right/Claim means full possession, obviously it means marriage. But what is ‘From’ that full possession? That ‘From’ is the part of the full possession which means the part where a husband fullfils his physical desires. In other words, they did not need women for sexual desires. You get my point? ‘Unko pooray haq main say HAQ ka wo hissa jis ka matlab hai sexual disires fullfil karna ki zaroorat nahi thi’. So if they were bisexuals they wouldnt have ever said that they literally DONT NEED women. Got my point? Thus they were homosexuals.
