My recent trip to KAGHAN & the Guppy flag on Lake lulusar

Okay dear guppies - finally I got my scanner up and running - Enjoy these pics
My intial tour plan was altered a little bit due to some unforseen problems with my trekking buddies - so instead of going to fairy meadows - I went on a jeep tour of the kaghan valley.
The first one is the landscape as I saw it immediately after leaving Balakot on way to the village of Kaghan.

In Shinoo theres a small trout hatchery that we visited

Things started to turn bad as soon as we crossed the small town of Mahandri - It started raining - We heard of a landslide ahead - fortunately it was cleared just as we reached the spot

Couple of cute Kaghani kids we met on the road

Then onwards it was a trip full of sharp bends death drops and extremely slippery conditions on the road due to rain - We had to get off the jeep to reduce load - I made this pic while walking behind the jeep - the road apparently dissappearing into the clouds.

Extremely cautious - as the jeeps stand parrallel on that narrow strip of the road and the drivers exchanging info about the way ahead

A very very dangerous curve on the track - notice the position of the jeep

another death drop

But the results were well worth all the troubles and effort - This is the katoora lake ( or piyaala lake ) in the upper kaghan valley

and this is the Pak flag put on Lake LULUPAT SAR in upper kaghan valley on 14th August

another shot of the flag - this is my jeep driver holding it - It was raining and quite cold at that time

well I do have a extreme close up showing the names that i wrote - but I think it would be better if I dont post the pic here - because due to shortage of space I couldnt possibly write all names - So I wrote maximum names that I could - Otherwise I am sure I would be getting lotsof complaints :hehe:

Finally heres Mr. Phajja :D
on the way back - this is the rest house in KHANIAN - around 35 km from balakot

:biggthumb: kool man, u let me remember dat i hvn’t taken a vacation in i think past 2 hrz :smooth:
