My question about Help in Time of Need

First of all my thoughts and sympathies are with the victims of South Asian quake. May Allah (SWT) give them the feelings of patience and give us an opportunity to manage things and to get recovered from its impact.

Indeed we lost our parents, children, brothers, sisters, relatvies and also this has weaken us financially, it will take us years to recover from great loss we all have suffered but positive side is we have learned many lessons from this. This must be taken as warning from Allah (SWT) that he is watching us and we must follow the path he has guided us in Quran.

We all have learned from this disaster that we Pakistanis have come out as united nation in these crisis. No matter whatever our political views and personal differences are, we all are working togather to relieve the victims and helping them to come out of this situation. This is exactly what Islam teaches us. Help your brothers and sisters in time of need.

Now my reason to post this message. Do you recognise these helping people?? People who are out there all over the effected areas to comfort the victims. Actually these are the ordinary people we know from all walks of life. Majority of them never claimed to be a very good mulim. They never claimed to be Jehadis but they are doing jehad. Jehad against the grief, sufferings and pain to relieve the victims.

Have any of you hear any statement or seen any help from the so called jehadis who have been killing hundreds and hundreds of innocent people in the name of Jihad?? Where these people are in this time of need? As being so called jehadis they claim to fight in the name of Allah but do they actually follow the basic teaching of Islam??? why don’t they come forward to help their dying muslim brothers and sisters. Why don’t they donate some money for help of these victims or is their money only to train youngsters to kill innocents and bring bad name to islam?? What sort of Islam do they follow that tells them only to kill innocents but not to save lives??? Why our youth is toy in the hands of these jehadis who are not preaching love but just hater???

I believe it is time for us Pakistanis by helping the victims to show the world that islam does not teah us hater but only love.

People who take innocent lives in the name of jihad but not helping in time of needs are indeed not following the teachings of Allah(SWT) and his beloved Muhammed (PBUH) . They use our youth for their own gains and benefits and we must not listen to them if they can’t help us in this situation.

I ask for your opinion in this matter and hope you all agree with me??

Re: My question about Help in Time of Need

great post and thank you for writing this, i think the same thoughts have gone through the minds of many.

Re: My question about Help in Time of Need

Yes, now if only the majority of muslims take this seriously. Not just pakistanis but muslims in general.

Re: My question about Help in Time of Need

as someone here on this forum said earlier, the so called 'jihadi' groups only know to take lives, not supporting or providing for.

One such group is Jamaat-e-Islami, which is ideologically linked to Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood as well as Hamas, the Palestinian militant group.

Jamaat-e-Islami has a charitable arm, the Al-Khidmat Foundation, which operates numerous social welfare programmes and has rushed to respond to the earthquake by organising relief convoys, appealing for donations and providing medical help.

As a result of the Pakistani government’s failure to get aid to the most remote areas, Kashmiris living in towns such as Bagh have turned for help to the comparatively well-organised Islamic militant groups, officially banned by Musharraf.

In the mosques of Kashmir they are now talking of a new jihad. Pakistan-based Islamic militants, who spent the past decade fighting Indian rule in the region, have announced a “holy war” to help victims of the earthquake.

The United Jihad Council, a loose alliance of a dozen pro-Pakistan militant organisations, this week also announced a temporary truce in the areas hit by the quake but it also warned it wouldn’t allow Indian troops to carry out relief work in their territory.

Jamaat-ud-Dawa, formerly the outlawed Lashkar-e-Taiba, which was blacklisted as a “terrorist organisation” by the US, was also among the first groups to offer aid in Bagh. Musharraf outlawed Lashkar-e-Taiba in 2002 following pressure from the US.

Not sure how much of it is true but just thought i would share this here. In my opinion after 1965 war this is the first time Pakistanis have united and put aside all politics to help each other. Great effort and himat by our Army and as usual the ppl of Pakistan have rised up to the occasion.

Re: My question about Help in Time of Need

^ Ansoon, Jamat-e-Islami does not go around loosely killing others as Lashkar Tayyiba/Jhangvi, Jaish, be-qaeyda etc.

Re: My question about Help in Time of Need

yeah JI can not be placed in the same group.

what we mean is the supposed self declared leaders of ummah are pretty quiet about this. they are very much into blowing up crap, but not into helping when a disaster strikes.

hey, hopefully more ppl will see the tru faces of these types and know that its all politics and hunger for power form those morons even if they have to twist religion to get there.

Re: My question about Help in Time of Need

People out there everyday doing whatever they can to help and comfort others are not extraordinary.

They are ordinary people.

Ordinary people with extraordinary hearts.
