“most righteous”, “best of Prophets”, “leader” etc
I have seen many times that follower of one religion says that their prophet is “better”, “more righteous”, “best” etc.
But from Quran, I found that Allah swt says as an attribute of “Believers” that they don’t distinguish between Prophets. (la nufarriq bayna ahadim-min rusulih - we do not distinguish/differentiate in between His Messengers/Prophets).
Can anyone tell me from Quran if Allah swt regarded Prophet Mohammed PBUH “higher” than anyone else?

Was any prophet in Holy Quran called by 'Rehmat-ulil-Alameen'? Only the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) is called that. Its true that Holy Prophet has himself once said that don't give me highest status than Moses and thats why shouldn't get into an argument with christians and Jews to enforce our point of view.
It seems you are refering to the following verse:
2: 136/137. Say ye, `We believe in ALLAH and what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham and Ishmael, and Isaac and Jacob and his children and what was given to Moses and Jesus, and what was given to all other Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them; and to HIM we submit ourselves.'
Read it in the context of the verses before & after & you will understand that it means that the believers don't say we believe in one messenger & not believe in the other. i.e: They are not selective. True believers are submitive to whatever & whoever comes from Allah, they are not arrogant.
And Khatam-um-nabeyeeN is a title give to AnHazoor (saw) which is unique in every way!
what about this one?
[002.285] The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one (of them) believeth in Allah, His angels, His Books, and His Messengers. "We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His Messengers." And they say: "We hear, and we obey, (we seek) Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys."
It is the message and responsibility which is greater then all the rest..
Same thing brother! There is no dispute in interpretation of these verses among the different scholars.

my dear this verse is not tlaing abt the prophets' being its talking about whaat they brought down meaning no prophet brought any thing diffrent from the other
so when this verse says we make no distinction means in their beliefs and what they brought...
Mr. Delight:
If all the prophets bring the same message over and over again, then what is benefit of Holy Quran and the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him). Did Hazrat Musa and Hazrat Haroon brought the same message. Was the message for Jesus and the Holy Prophet same? No!
Holy Quran is the ultimate book and is the message for all mankind and for all humanity. No previous prophet can claim to be a messenger for the whole manking other than the Holy Prophet. As Mr. Destino is already pointed out its the message and scope of it that differentiates between different prophets.
When Quran says that don't differentiate between different messengers, it is talking about the nobody should make any difference in accepting them meaning all of them have to be accepted.

my dear dear brother how sorry i feel that u have so litle knowledge
check these ayats out for the mesage of Allah..maybe ...maybe Allah will teach u something..
11:2+3
10:2+3
7:2+3
in Quran ALlah mentions the stories of the prophets like noah mosa isa why would he do that if their measge was diffrent from Muhamads?
relate to them the sotry of Noah (11:71) why would Allah say this if it wsnt the same mesage?
then after him we sent many messengers..they brought them clear signs, but they would not beileve what they had already rejected( 11: 74 )
so obviously this ayat means that they rejected the mesengers just like the ones before..same message...
why would ALlah say this if the message wasnt the same ?
"in the end we deliver our mesengers and those who belive...."(11:103)
if he message was not the same why is ALlah puting all the belivers and messangers in one verse together????
the mesage was the same, its up to Allah to whom he gives what book...
and u said it your self "Holy Quran is the ultimate book and is the message for all mankind and for all humanity. No previous prophet can claim to be a messenger for the whole manking other than the Holy Prophet" meaning Allah gave the last most important bok to the prophet which makes him more important then the other prophets
no prophet is more right...or more pious all the prophets were on the same path and had the same message.........
And u say what is the reason for bringing of this book(quran)
Allah wanted to teach his ppl he wnated them to be on the right path so he kept on sending down prophets to guide the mankind................
may ALlah bless You!!!!!
I wonder why Prophets have been allocated different heavens. Adam on first, Noah on second, and so on untill the 7th, where only Prophet Muhammad SAW could go!.
Any idea why all the Prophets will refer people to our Beloved Prophet Saw on the day of Judgment to intercede?
