thanks maham that was really sweet of you to say that...to be honest my husband is not bothered about it as much as I am...also im not sure if I would want the whole idea of mehdi,walima etc I think just a small gathering because it wont be the same as your wedding day....I think if i ask my mum she would be happy to have an anniversary for me but i think my inlaws would think im kind off strange..I dont know. Like you said there is nothing wrong with having another function where you dress up like a bride and groom even though some people might think its funny!
