i love my old navy jeans that i bought at a sale. i love my NYC liner, clear gloss, which costs oh so not much as something from MAC. I absolutely love my clothes from generation (ok, this is the only time i can throw out a brand name), and i can’t live without my scarf from UB. oooo yea, i live the high life :smooth:

but you know what, i would shell out some serious money for HSY clothes and Givency’s Very Irresistable. But i won’t be showing off…except for the HSY

^^ I agree. I buy what looks nice and feels comfortable, don't care designer or no designer. In any case, those designer don't pay me any money to advertise, why shud I roam around being an unpaid model, wearing a top with nike, RL or HB written on it :p

some people do show off, by specifying the BIG name. and I have seen some even buy Armani Jeans with Armani written all over it in case people just forget, I personaly hate those advertisment-wear.

However I do like designer stuff and buy these on and off, some are worth it because of quality of fabric and fitting. I also buy other brands that appeals to me as a garment.

It also depends, if I am buying suit, then it has to be of good cuts and design and that mostly are from good brand names, such stuff one dont buy on daily basis, so its ok to spend on it.

If i am buying shirts or casual stuff, I go for both depending on the budget at that time.

I am not a big brand person, its all about, fit, quality and function. So while I tend to spend more on my suits and work clothes, my casual clothes come from all over. Its not an issue of showing off at all. I coukd be pairing a generic concert tshirt with expensive jeans, and cheap flip flops I picked up at some bazaar. it is all about what catches my eye and fits well and feels nice

In some cases when you know if a paricular desgingers or brands fit works best for you, then u stick with it. but the intent is to not show off. it can be simple preferences

But I agree there are people who like to show off, they are spotted a mile away.
